Exactly. You look at our roster and see DD, Niels and Leon but Kuran is able to play four positions on the floor. I could see him playing the Point Forward for us, some SG, a little bit of everything.
That's mostly how all his highlights are. He's not really tested as much on the HS level (i.e. Drummond) but w/him, I don't think he will be exposed at the next level. Has a decent skill-set.
Maybe I'm blind but he doesn't look all that quick in that video. All the players looked like they were playing slow motion and he didn't look like a freak athlete to me.
Agreed. Ive seen more AAU hoops than most people and thats bad even by AAU standards. Who is that competition?
He is a good athlete, not a freak athlete. Good skills for his height, but still looks like he needs to get much stronger. Also he has really skinny legs, which makes it easy for him to get pushed around. Would be surprised if he got a ship from UK. That video doesn't tell you much. Those little kids didn't even look like they could play on a decent high school team.
I think we've had enough "freak athlete"s lately. How about a small forward who can handle the ball, pass into the post, and shoot from the outside?
I'll try and see where he is leaning. Not promising anything. But I would like to see him at UConn. His gf might play a role. Not sure but maybe.
