Everyone does realize he was fired because he couldn't coach a team that moved the ball and scored points?

On a roster oozing with 5-star talent and NFL draft picks all over the field. And a Heisman caliber running back.

Not interested.

Well, that and the time management debacle of not getting the last play off before time ran out.

They were on the verge of firing him last year and then he pulled out a win and gave him an extension and now fire him 4 games into the season.

Bobby D took time mgmt lessons from Les. Benedict even in his brief time in the SEC knows that would not be the direction to go

So what your guys are saying, is he is an older, more accomplished version of Diaco? No thanks.

Two things Les Miles doesn't do well....run an offense and clock management. Sound familiar?

Yeah, I see your point. Hate to see this guy go up against the Maine Brown Bears.

Can LSU hire Herman this week, before the Thurs game? Just leave, get the huge $$ and start the focus on next year.

I'd take neither of Miles or Cameron. Miles is a really really good recruiter who isn't that good of a game day coach. Cameron hasn't done a thing with the talent Miles has given him. Together they are a really bad combination. As for herman...he played his hand by not taking the South Carolina job and staying at Houston. He wins...IMHO he will be the object of a bidding war between Texas and LSU if Strong can't get that ship righted. Charlie Strong is a good coach though...he is just the perfect example of the wrong guy for the wrong job. Put him in the SEC, ACC or AAC and he would be a more than solid hire.

You're kidding right. Miles wins 9 games a year. UConn wins 6 games a year. Hmmm...

That 5 mio payout is pretty stiff. Things are going to get worse given our next 3 games on the schedule. Sad thing is no one on the existing staff impresses me at all, so Bobby will remain under contract through 12/31.

Others may say give him one more year, but if the offensive can't provide a 2016 college attack by the ECU game then I think all the cards are showing.
