Not long. But only he knows the reasons for his non calling. Maybe he doesn't consider himself in a position to speak to the University President because he's new to the school. Maybe he feels President Herbst has enough on her plate. Maybe it hadn't occurred to him she would want his input. Or maybe he is scrambling to figure out his quarterback problem.
