Whoa Nellie, that is some great Euro 2016 and CONMEBOL competition. And, our T&T game is interesting. May the Salvadorans and Hondurans chop the Mexicans into pieces.

Spain will be interesting as their acclaimed old guard is heading into the sunset, so there will be a lot of pressure for some of the younger players to step-up. Netherlands needs to begin the process of overhauling their team and philosophy in advance of WC qualifying.

Cup qualifying in South America is always insane.

There are some important and some big name games this week and into next... from European friendlies to WCQ in all other regions, and the US U23 Olympic qualifiyng home and home w/ Colombia (Friday away, Wednesday in Texas).

CONCACAF games are Friday & Tuesday, w/ the US v Guatemala (Friday away, Tuesday home). Getting 4 or 6 points pretty much locks them into the Hex. 3 or fewer makes things interesting. It should be a sure 6 points, but USMNT has been so inconsistent the past year, and it's never easy playing in Central America, so you never know. C. Larin and Canada in a critical home and home with Mexico. A point from the 2 games would be huge for their chances in making the Hex. They are hoping El Salvador and Honduras play to consecutive draws.

CONMEBOL WCQ
Chile v Argentina - today
Brazil v Uruguay - Friday
Colombia v Ecuador - Tuesday
Paraguay v Brazil - Tuesday
Uruguay v Peru - Wednesday

European friendlies:
Italy v Spain - today
Netherlands v France - Friday
Germany v England - Saturday
Germany v Italy - Tuesday
Portugal v Belgium - Tuesday
England v Netherlands - Tuesday
France v Russia - Tuesday

The between Belgium and Portugal, which should be an interesting match, has been moved from Brussels (Belgium) to Leiria (Portugal) for obvious reasons :( There are also strong concerns with the France Netherlands match, talk about to national teams going on opposite directions, that is scheduled to be played in Amsterdam.
