#1, your hyped up (and ugly) uniforms are specifically for your game against us (two-time Big East champions). That is a compliment. #2, when was the last time Rutgers won a national championship in anything? :p

Well we can "claim" an NC in 1976 (11-0), 1961 (9-0), 1869 (co-NC with Princeton) and that's for FB... :)

We have an NC in wrestling, fencing, cheerleading and an NC in WBB (AIAW National Championship: 1982)... We've also been on the losing side of NCAAA NC games at least twice recently (WBB in 2007 and Men's soccer in 1991)...

*Also keep in mind that until the late 1970s Rutgers declined ALL bowl invitations (of which there were numerous) since it was felt bowl games were inconsistent with the academic mission of the university... BTW in the 1970s we had 8 winning seasons in FB including 1 undefeated season...

Doesn't the Asst AD have anything better than to troll opponents sites? Shouldn't you be polishing up your resume for when Timmy Boy bolts for Miami?

I was talking about national championships. Not conference championships. So you have a national championship in cheerleading (????), wrestling and fencing (!??!)? As for football, you can claim all you want. No one awarded you anything except a co-championship in 1869.

Well we can "claim" an NC in 1976 (11-0), 1961 (9-0), 1869 (co-NC with Princeton) and that's for FB... :)

We have an NC in wrestling, fencing, cheerleading and an NC in WBB (AIAW National Championship: 1982)...

So basically, no, you do not have a legitimate national championship in anything anyone gives a flying duck about? That's what we thought.

....Did you seriously bring up cheerleading? Did that really just happen? Seriously?

If they have a title in wrestiling it is an individual, not team title, which the NCAA doesn't count towards the school. While the AIAW title may be noteworthy, it (similar to our 1948 men's soccer title) is not recognized by the NCAA. They have half of a title in fencing (yes, they shared it) to their name yet that bozo believes an undefeated season against the likes of Lehigh, Lafayette, Penn & Bucknell places them on equal footing with Alabama and Ohio St.

no, you can't. holy crap, this is even more lame than Pitt's insistence that they've won national championships due to some guy in his basement awarding them to them. You guys aren't even on par with that epic load of BS!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_D...onship#National_championship_claims_by_school

You can only claim 1869. And that's only because you finished a mighty 1-1, and lost to "co-champ" Princeton.

Wow they really didn't want to mess up the spelling on the jerseys this time and decided to go with the R logo instead. Pathetic losers can't even spell their schools' name right...

Uniform manufacturer: So how do you spell that?
Rutgers: I'm not entirely sure. It starts with the motor boat sound.
Uniform manufacturer: The what?
Rutgers: You know the motor boat sound...rrrrr...rrrrr...rrrrr.
Uniform manufacturer: Um okay, so what's the next letter?
Rutgers: I'm not entirely sure.
Uniform manufacturer: Sigh, let's just go with the R, okay?
Rutgers: I'm not entirely sure. Is that the one with the motor boat sound...rrrrr...rrrrr...rrrrr.?
Uniform manufacturer: I'm hanging up now.

L O L. Had no idea Rutgers fans would try THAT hard to feel relevant! We have an undefeated season in 1924, when we went 6-0-2. Let's claim a national championship!

Interesting fact is that John Carpenter (1st who wants to be a millionaire winner) is a Rutgers alum BUT also is from Connecticut...
