Husky Run & First Night '16

Haven't seen this posted elsewhere, it was tweeted out that the annual Husky Run will be Wednesday Sept 28th and First Night will be Friday Oct 14th. The season moves even closer, can't wait!

Quite frankly, as many of you know, First Night is not my thing. However, I think it's great for the casual fan - and we need them.

All it is is a big pep rally. Lol. I'm more than a casual fan and I love it. Especially with the young guys coming in

Since they've moved into the new practice facility it's almost impossible to get in and see anything. It used to be so easy to just walk into Gampel and watch the scrimmages. Those days are over.

FWIW, Amida Brimah comes into my work frequently in Storrs. He looks noticeably stronger in the bicep area. He was also the only team member I saw really around campus during the summer.
Vance and Jalen seem to be buddies as well, Juwan and Enoch too.

Think the report days are long gone. They do their thing in the new hoops center so no walking in to Gampel and getting a sneak preview, that sucks right 33?

I can confirm they have been having team activities in which basketball is played.

One would think that if the Russians can ostensibly hack Hillary's server, someone can get a glimpse of practice. Certainly one of you guys must have dropped some go-pro and fiber optic in there during construction. Purely for BY use, of course.

the fact that ollie finished 3rd in 2014-2015 is absurd to me, i mean what other coaches are finishing top 3 in a long distance-ish race with his players? you almost forget the guy played with 4 current nba superstars.

You see how consistent Purvis was the 2 years some athletes can't run distance. When I was in HS and college I would much rather do tons of suicides than go outside and do any distance. I'm certainly not these guys but I think they can run all day no ,after what their time is off the court. All good
