I got this DVD from Netflix and have to say I was very impressed by the film. I read some reviews and it seems like it's an either love it or hate it film. I'm the former. I ended up watching it twice this weekend, and by the second viewing I realized what a masterful movie and also period piece it is. Also, between the first and second viewing I read up on George Reeve's biography and the shyteshow his romantic life was, and the film then made 101% more sense in the second viewing. I found the second viewing to be much more moving and actually a bit depressing too.
