Looks like FSU and Clemson both have BOT meetings scheduled for FRI, according to reports out of Atlanta. This may be it - or it could be overblown, as usual. Anyhow, buckle up and hold on to something for the next 48 hours or so...
Cory Fravel@CFravel247 Clemson's BOT of trustees will meet next week. Tim_Matty247@Tim_Matty247 #Clemson BOT will meet next week per multiple sources. This meeting will be about tuition (cough, cough). #FSU BOT meeting this Thur & Fri. Ingram Smith@IngramSmith FSU fans grab your popcorn - next 48 hours could be pretty interesting The two I like to follow are Corey Fravel and Ingram Smith. Ingram Smith did a good podcast here, if you have about an hour to listen to it. http://dev.chuckoliver.net/2012/05/...talk-about-fsus-role-in-conference-expansion/
Announced late Tuesday: Florida State President Eric Barron will ask the school's Board of Trustees to approve a $7 million acquisition of the Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center on Friday in Sarasota. The move would give the university full control of the 30-year-old facility that houses the FSU men's and women's basketball teams and is the site of the university's commencement ceremonies.
What kills most of these rumors for me.... I know about a half-dozen people who are trustees at about a half-dozen U's...these boards meet all the freaking time. My guess that in addition to FSU and Clemson, about 300 other boards of trustees will also meet this month.
that would be an interesting move for UConn. Purchase the Xl, kease it back for day-to-day operations to a third party firm for non-UConn bookings, and UConn would make the improvements as owner. Get Hartford and the redevelopment group out of the picture
... and here's the agenda http://bit.ly/LyVIGS ?Only reference to football... Requesting Approval to Secure New Bond Issue Authority for Indoor Practice Football Facility?
Nothing about any Clemson BOT meeting until later in July: http://www.clemson.edu/administration/bot/meetings.html So, no Clemson meeting next week. Nothing on the FSU agenda about conference movement. Likely that that buffoon Haggard will be replaced as Chairman. Yep, 'done deal' to quote the Doofus of WV. Oh, and ET is landing at Area 51 this Saturday.
Well, seems like someone here had nobody warm and cozy to snuggle with at 2 in the morning. Oh well...
I was so worried about conference re-alignment and the next 'done deal' from the Doofus of WV that I could not sleep.
