meant to post this earlier. Francesa spoke with Peter Gammons prior to this week's Red Sox/Yankees series. Asked him if the upcoming series was on people's minds in Boston. loved Gammons response: "No, everyone up here has been watching UConn." He said it will be a couple more weeks before the city begins to focus on baseball.

So much for not getting any looks in a pro town!

The ratings have shown that UConn has a lot of pull. A lot.

Hmm. So we seem to be the number one college option from Boston to NYC.

What was the phrase BC used? "We wanted to be New England's college team"?

And what the Big Ten said "we wanted a share of NYC"

How's that working out for you both? Looks like you missed the big pull in those cities.

If people are interested now in BB, what might the interest be if we are playing tOSU, PSU and Mich for FB on a regular basis? The ones in charge have to know our football program was more than competitive with national programs, before PP, and that a B1G invite would pull our FB program up to mid level B1G teams rather quickly.

It's just a matter of time folks. :D

You should repost this on the Realignment board.

Kemba conquered New York. Shabazz conquered Boston (and New York again for the heck of it). We won.

How long would it take to fall to .500 in basketball championship games? 100+ years?

When UConn played Gonzaga in a double header (BC-PC) at the TD Garden during the 07-08 season, the sold out crowd was over 70% UConn fans. Gonzaga, not surprisingly, had the fewest, but PC/BC were about 50/50 of the remainder. UConn-Zags would have banged the place out on its own.

The UC/FL score and highlights got a huge cheer at the Sox game last Saturday night.

Hate to say it, but everyone's actually been watching the Bruins wrap up their season and get ready for a deep run in the playoffs. We're probably pretty lucky the Celtics blow this year. Of course nobody cares about a eleven-day-old baseball season yet.
