Blidi started at CB opening drive. Nothing thrown his way. Showed tight coverage on the one passing play, forcing QB to scramble.

Game started w/ 90+ yard KO return. Dude took it from 8 yards deep returning it to North's 10 yard line. Face mask took it to the 5.

14-0 South very quickly. EJ Manuel looking real good at QB. Wilson had an uneventful first series, then struggled on his second series. The whole North D is getting picked apart.

Moore just body slammed a running back. He's been in on a few plays. Gratz giving up a pair of completion, but all short come back routes where he was right there in tight coverage.

The crowd gave an audible gasp when Moore blew up that play. Lots of people checking their program to check name/number.

BWW got some nice words/coverage analysis on a pass break- up just before half and again minute into third for positive play in first half.

I saw Nassib's pick, then had to leave. Set the DVR to watch later. Sio looked pretty solid from the two series I saw him play.

The East West game go Sio into the 4th-5th range. Wonder if his great showing might have some teams thinking end of round 3. Regardless, he is definitely getting drafted now. No doubt about that.

Moore shines in Senior Bowl

Former UConn linebacker Sio Moore had a sack and unofficially finished with seven tackles in Saturday's Senior Bowl.

Moore was a mid-week replacement for his former college teammate Trevardo Williams, who suffered a sprained ankle early in the week.

Former Husky Blidi Wreh-Wilson started at cornerback and had a pair of pass breakups to go with three tackles while fellow former Connecticut cornerback Dwayne Gratz had a pair of tackles. For the sake of full disclosure, the statistics are mine and will be updated if I see final stats posted anywhere.

Moore, Wreh-Wilson and Gratz all played for the North team which lost to the South 21-10.

Meriden's John Jenkins out of the University of Georgia got the start at defensive tackle for the South.

From Washington Redskin Bleacher Report:

Third Round: Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB, Connecticut

Blidi Wreh-Wilson is a high-character, high-ceiling guy who has a bright future.

"Wreh-Wilson has consistently been on my wish list for a while, and his performances have done nothing to change that. He has the potential to be a true shutdown corner, and Raheem Morris would be an excellent mentor for him as he starts his NFL career.

His natural ability alone is enough to get him drafted. He instinctively turns his hips to locate the ball, all the time staying with the receiver and maintaining good coverage. If he can do that against Hakeem Nicks and Dez Bryant, he would be a steal in the third round

He’s a safe option, and while he could perhaps take a few more chances by going up to claim the ball in the air, the Redskins need a good cover corner on the roster. At 6’1” and 190 pounds, Wreh-Wilson could be the rangy corner the Skins need to nullify the strong quarterback threat in the NFC East.

Another benefit that could seal the deal for Mike Shanahan is that Wreh-Wilson is a high-character, team-first type of player. In a year where suspensions have again let the team down, this will be of great comfort to the Redskins coach."

"NFL Analyst Mike Mayock also noted that UConn cornerback Dwayne Gratz drew interest as a safety this week and called Rutgers linebacker Khaseem Greene a first-round pick."

Just saw this comment on Espn's website. We need more of this.

The schools with the most players represented were:
1. Alabama 5
2. Georgia 5
3. Fla St 4
4. UConn 4 (T.Williams DNP)
5. Clemson 3
6. UCLA 3
UConn is the big surprise on that list. The fact they were so well represented should have been mentioned more by the announcers.

... and this is where the school needs to step up and be sure everyone knows it and not just post/tweet it to alumni/fans.
