The 2024 national champion was just crowned, but we're already looking ahead to the best teams of next season. Let's start with Duke at No. 1.

Nothing wrong with that, we could realistically lose our top 6 players this off-season, I hope we don't but it is possible. They will reevaluate once everyone finalizes rosters, let's see where we stand then. When Dook plays all five SF's at same time they will be tough to beat.

If anything, they are showing their respect by putting us that high with no projected returning player averaging more than 5 points per game

Very fair, generous too. Could be a rebuilding year but hoping Hurley works his magic.

I suspect us being this high is by default. Reading through there are a lot of teams losing key players, or at least they're still questionable. There are also a lot of critical veteran players graduating or leaving for the draft since its such a weak draft. This won't form up until the portal cyclone has settled.
