Get rid of that space under the scoreboard so people have to sit in their seats instead of standing and making the place look empty.
That's always been my complaint. All those nooks and crannies need to be filled in with seats.
Somehow the whimsical idea of a beer garden has become the latest gimmick. I'm not really a fan but if that's what it takes for an expansion to get approved,I'll get on board.

One thing I think could improve the Rent is mid-level luxury boxes. These would go on the concourse level between the 20-yard lines. This would do two things. First, it puts elite seating close to the field without having to do much new construction, thereby improving the financial ceiling of the stadium.

Second, it would remove the standing area between the 20s putting many folks back into their seats. This is especially important at the beginning of games when the stadium looks empty because thousands are watching from under the overhang.

This is true, however it will force more drunks and the socially unacceptable to stand by the Jumbotron and all their carp falls on us when the wind blows

Since 2003 when the Rent opened we have had 31 sell outs. Approximately 40% of our games have been sell outs. Our average attendance over this time is 36,800 for approximately 92% capacity. Only in the last 2 or 3 years have attendance figures been below 30,000. Even with that our attendance is up from 2014 to 2015.

You pessimistic post puts out the wrong message. If you can't be optimistic at least be realistic and know your facts.

I didn't find his post pessimistic and unfortunately I think he has the facts right. Since the downfall of the Big East and the creation of the AAC, we've only had 1 sellout and it was to a non-conference foe. The demand for adding seats isn't there. Given the state of the State, I don't know that we can afford to renovate until we know we have a new conference home with a greater source of icome and a better schedule or we field a quality product and get back to consistently selling out the stadium.
Here's some optimism for you. If we can get back to selling out the stadium, great seasons will follow. According to CL82's numbers, we're 10-2 when we sell out. I'd love to get back to that.

I've given these attendance figures earlier but I'll give a summary again for those of you who have no clue and just run off your mouth.

We just averaged less than 30k per game, that sucks!!!! Competition is very stiff right now, no excuse for not showing up.

Exspansion is continent on P5 membership and a decent team
Those two things happen an a UConn football ticket will be like UConn BB ticket after 1990

I knew a Michigan grad who said their stadium expansions only involved painting the lines for the seats closer together.

I believe it. I was there when UConn played at Michigan. It was unbelievably tight. If The Rent seating was as tight as Michigan we'd have a 60,000 seating capacity now.

If they do that at The Rent, I'll cancel my season tickets.

Def true at Notre Dame. When I went there, you basically don't have a seat. It's insane.
