I didn't want to start this thread because I know it will generate a lot of criticism. However, I am amazed at the season this man is having at the age of 40. He is hitting a career best .329 and if you project out over the full season what he has done so far he will hit 40 home runs, 70 doubles and knock in 144 runs. His strike out to walk ratio is outstanding. He can still catch up to fast balls and he rarely chases anything out of the strike zone. I went to the game a week ago last Saturday and he had a home run, a triple in the 9th to tie the game and send it into extra innings and a walk-off double in the 11th. He could run for mayor and be easily elected. A few years ago, I didn't think he had done enough for HOF consideration. Now, I think he should be a shoe in.
