Well, we are, and along with USF and possibly Cincinnati or WVU will be the only 4 schools that end up without a home at the end of this round of musical chairs. Oh year, New Jersey and Connecticut are also the two wealthiest states in the country, and bookend the nation's largest city. And we are on the outside looking in. But it is nobody's fault.

Underestimates UConn's TV market

Yep. They forgot to include Fairfield County which adds another 1M to the total. Frankly, UCONN should be the entire 3.6M population of CT as its TV market.

Underestimates UConn's TV market

It must cut off all of southern Connecticut. There is not a town on the coast that doesn't send at least 5 kids to UConn from each graduating class.

Also, the number of households times median household income makes Connecticut worth about double almost every program on that list from an advertising standpoint.

Well, it wouldn't be Herbst's fault as she hasn't been here long enough. We could blame Jeff Hathaway, as he had no vision and did not lead UConn to the next level, which is true, but you really would have to blame the previous UConn presidents for sticking with Hathaway as the landscape of college sports were changing and he was offering no plan. Who decided to expand their stadiums in anticipation of the future? Rutgers and Louisville. It may not have done them well during this round of conference expansion, but at least they did something.
