Notable games and goings on - this one might get a little unwieldy:

Tomorrow: UConn vs. UNH 7pm. Gampel Pavilion. Get your Rollies and wings cooled, prepped and ready!

Tiny bit of news, UConn women won, beat some team in the top 10 by 44. Exciting day to be alive.

Future UConn opponents: #24 Michigan beat Elon 88-68 (Discussion on that game and how the Wolverines looked here), Sacred Heart lost to Yale 99-77

Top 25 action tonight: #6 Virginia lost to the mighty Colonials of GW 73-68, #7 Iowa St. beat Chicago St. 106-64, #12 Arizona beat Bradley 90-60, #14 Indiana beat Austin Peay 102-76, #15 Cal and their diaper dandies facing UCSB, #16 Utah beat SDSU 81-76, #17 Vandy beat Gardner-Webb 98-62, #23 LSU beat Kennesaw St. 91-69 (for his next trick, Ben Simmons will be walking on water), Later #20 Baylor facing #25 Oregon.

Our AAC chum(s): USF got done in by NJIT 60-57 (way to go fellas), at least East Carolina and Tulane beat Charlotte and Drake respectively.

P5 Winners: K St., WVU, The U, South Carolina (PJ Dozier didn't score but had 2 blocks, 2 asts, 2 rbs, a steal), Florida (Devin Robinson had a nice game 15 pts, 7 rbs), Ok St., Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Bennie Boatwright not doing too much, 4 pts, fouled out, as USC struggles with Monmouth, ASU also struggling

P5 upsets: Miss St. lost to Southern 76-72 (Malik Newman, not so great, 6 pts, 3 asts, 2 rbs, 4 to, 2-8)

Other notes: George Mason lost again, Ray Kasongo (2 rbs in 2 mins) and Tennessee got Kasongoed by G-Tech, St. John's won behind the Italian Stallion Mussini's 18 pts, Derrick Jones with 12 pts so far in UNLV's blowout, Marquette beat IUPUIPONU 75-71 (Traci Carter was a non-factor, 3 to, 2 rbs, 1 ast)

That'll do it for me, you've been great.

You guys remember the real Big Mondays of the Big East era? Regular top 10 matchups weekly with tough, physical games and intense rivalries. #8 Villanova at #7 UConn, #1 Huskies at Freedom Hall against #7 Louisville, UConn-Pitt, too many to name.

Lots of great memories in those big games for me as well. The anticipation leading up to them was always fun, having an appointment at 7pm and knowing it would be a good time, win or lose, was an awesome thing. It's different now. I get as amped up as ever to be able to see my favorite team play, but the other half of it doesn't always factor into that equation.

Watched the end of the Long Beach State / BYU game and then some of the Hawaii game before getting another hour doze - I have a long day of meetings and hate coffee. Also hate kids energy drinks but may bring a Monster with me. Love college hoops lol

Forgot that Faust of Maryland ended up at LBSU.

Unless we switch conferences no, I believe espn has a contract with the Big 12 and ACC. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
