Hell, Houston used to be a basketball power too.
I've never heard of this kid Nick Ward but he put on a hell of a show down the stretch for MSU last night, gutting out a win over Minnesota. The kid was unconscious in the post.
DePaul up 1 on Nova with six minutes left.
Nebraska just beat Indiana in Assembly Hall 87-83. First loss at home for Indiana since 2014. Dave Wingett had 50
Does the NCAA ever drop the hammer on U of L or UNC?
UCLA is no longer undefeated. Lost to Oregon on last second 3 from Brooks.
Great game. Alford misses front end of 1-1 leading to the dagger.
Villanova @ Creighton...Saturday afternoon. Will be around 19k there to watch a battle of two teams at
13-0. Nova may have been looking past DePaul tonight.
We hung right with them in Maui. This team is not that far away from being competitive.
South Carolina at Memphis
Good win for Memphis. They already have a couple of wins that would have been losses under Pastner.
Agreed. Great for the conference.
Big game for GTown at home against Xavier. Gtown needs to win this. Also just saw Chris Mack (name of the Xavier coach) ncaa tourney record and it's average. A not invite, sweet 16, first four, etc. and they're ranked constantly
LJ Peak continues to be an excellent all-around player for the Hoyas -- great defender, volume scorer, and a surprisingly good three-point shooter.
Man, we had so many near-misses with that class of 2014. Him, Abu, Colson, Josh Perkins... we close on just one of those guys, and we're in such a different place right now.
I didn't know we were really close on Peak, I knew we were on him but were we in it late?
We made his top 5, but not his top 3. KO made the bad decision to focus more on trying for Oubre, IIRC.
EDIT: And Larrier! Finished in his top 2.
EDIT2: And Devin Robinson! Finished in his top 2 as well.
Between those guys, Abu & Colson, 2014 recruiting was brutal as hell.
Duke in trouble at VA Tech....down 13 with 12 to go....Buzz Williams has got that program turned around quickly.
Former target of ours, Chris Clarke, having a quietly efficient game - 14 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 to on 6/6 fg & 2/4 ft. And he's destroyed Matt Jones defensively.
Still shocked we didn't close on him. He's one we seemed to have in the bag there for a minute.
Who wants to guess that Allen comes back for the next game??
Rothstein preached all offseason that Georgia Tech would not win a game in conference play. G Tech beats UNC in Pastner's ACC debut lol. Unbelievable.
Well K stripped him of his captainship
Happened to catch it on ESPNU while NFL was on commercial break. Screw Pats-Miami, Screw Dallas-Philly. Much more entertaining watching BCU and a dude with pink hair come roaring out of the gate in ACC play winning their first conference game since March 10 2015 by 20+ over our buddies the Orange.
Can't get too excited about Cuse sucking this year, we were lucky to beat this crap team.
Wow, what a collapse. I guess despite all their chest thumping back in early December, our game with Cuse was really their superbowl.
Which they lost btw.
They're going to have their first losing season in nearly 50 years, their aged coach has lost his touch, their coach-in-waiting looked horrendous last season, their incoming recruiting class is poor (sanctions are killing them), and the only underclassman on the roster who looks the part of a top college player is a decent bet to declare for the draft next season.
I know we're all miserable about this season, but given our recruiting and host of underclassmen who are getting experience, our future is bright. Theirs is "questionable" at best, and "unprecedentedly bad" at worst.
Any time is a good time to get excited about Cuse sucking.
That final four last season will go down as one of the most random ever.
they shouldn't have even been in the tourney
