Not to knock Sam I am...but, I think JUCO stats may be deceiving, that being said, if he can stroke it and play defense, there is always a place on the roster.
For comparison's sake, here are Sam Cassell, Jr.'s juco stats: http://www.chipolaathletics.com/sports/mbkb/2013-14/bios/cassell-_jr_sam_k836?view=gamelogJesus... These box scores make him look like a sniper. Taking and making tons of 3s.
His numbers in JUCO are solid, although the he didn't shoot all that well inside the arc. He's 6'1 and averaged:
45.8% FG
45% 3P
73% FT
4.9 REB
4.4 AST
...Favorite TV show: Grey's Anatomy
Not with JUCOs - he'd be immediately eligible next year. He'd come in as a sophomore. So if he committed, he would have to sit a year, right?
Yeah, and Auburn has given a ton of PT to their abundance of JUCO transfers. Bowers didn't really pan out because he's a natural big man who's in love with jump shooting, but TJ Dunans was solid in his first year despite missing a couple months due to injury. Kareem Canty averaged 18 PPG this year too. Pearl has been extremely active in the JUCO-sphere.Looking at his top 4, UConn is obviously the best school. But I guess it depends what he is looking for. Immediate and large amounts of playing time seems to favor both Missouri and New Mexico.
Yeah, which is always a good sign. Are we his first visit?
