According to the Hartford Courant: Southington is now ranked #2 on points. As a result, the Courant projects the Knights to be paired with division rival & nemesis Glastonbury in the quarterfinals. While this will be a no holds barred matchup between 2 teams that can't stand each other (think Hatfields & McCoys), I was hoping for Southington to be playing a team that they don't normally see during the regular season.

There are no easy seeds in LL this year for sure. Even West Haven as the #8 has only lost to Hand and Xavier. Good luck to the Knights in the first round I know their earlier match with Glastonbury was dogfight.

True. When Barmore is out of the playoffs, Southington will be out of the playoffs.

I see what you did there.

Glastonbury has been a good team in the CCC in the last several years. New Britain hasn't been a player since JC left.

Things have changed when Southington and Glastonbury are big rivals.
It actually dates to 1998 when the Tomahawks beat Southington for the LL title.
The following year, Southington won the LL Championship.
Just after DJ Hernandez graduated from Bristol Central there was a massive upheaval in the CCC as the Bristol & Meriden schools refused to play Southington & New Britain any longer. Southington & New Britain got put into a new division with Manchester, Glastonbury, Simsbury, & Newington. They've been banging heads ever since.
edit: Change Newington for East Hartford. (Newington is an out of division game I think)

Yeah back in my day Newington was a big temporary rival because they were such cheap shot artists and won a title.

Glastonbury makes sense as a rival - I am old enough to still think Plainville is a rival.

I was at the st. Joes hillhouse game today.
For a second I though house might lose , but Anderson and cooper pulled it out. Anderson is outstanding if you see his highlights on hudl, but cooper is really outstanding. Fastest back I've seen in ct in 10 years. Think he might be 3 star recruit, looks like A faster version of Desmon peoples from Rutgers. Look at these highlights .

Anderson finished with 139 yards on 16 carries, Cooper ran 16 times for just 47 yards. I think St. Joe's feared Cooper, geared up to stop him, and got burned by Anderson. I thought the winner of this game would be the favorite to win the M. Hillhouse will be tough to beat. They also played great defensively.

Yeah no doubt, Hillhouse's defense is as much a factor in this win as anderson was. Hillhouse has the luxury of having another great player in the backfield, and the dbs took care of the joes offense

Don't sleep on Berlin. Actually, i agree with you, Hillhouse may be too fast for the Redcoats.
