Like an excel spreadsheet? What format does a table have to be in to appear correctly aligned in a post?

That table I understand, but the "short solution" shown above is beyond my comprehension. Is there another method that includes instructions or an easy method of getting the data into the table? The table in the photo will not work because there is no drawer.
