12'2"????

I think the combine record is (was - if that length is true) 11'7". And he out jumped it by 7 inches?

Edit: Some places are saying it's a record. Other's are saying it's the best in 10 years. So I don't have a firm source on the record. I saw it stated as 11'7" though.

"And on the broad jump, he jumped 11 feet, seven inches. That's also a record for wide receivers, and ties the combine record set by defensive end Jamie Collins in 2013."

And just for good measure... A 44'5 vertical. Holy ! Better vert than any corner last year!

Thanks, just saw your posts there. Insane numbers on both broad and vertical jumps. Good for him.

Congrats to Byron for a great showing. Now prepare to be drafted in the fifth round, and probably by the Raiders, just because you went to UConn.

Goes without saying that it sucks he couldn't play out his senior year to showcase his talent to the nation (and it also sucks the team wasn't generating success which would have helped if he had been able to play), but then again he's definitely generating buzz at the combine.

Just a reminder, Zach Frazer was the 9th ranked QB nationally coming out of HS with a ton of offers.

I had it in my mind he was second, behind only Mark Sanchez. Ninth makes more sense.

Got a feeling if his shoulder is okay, he might jump to second round.

I just stumbled on the NFL network and they spent 5 minutes talking about Byron. One guy had him as 50th overall.

Many of the ESPN draft articles have Jones between the 7th and 10th best corner available in the draft. That was before today. Mighty impressive for a kid who missed half the season.

Just a reminder, 2 star athlete from CT with no other offers. Athlete.

Not taking anything away from Jones cause he sure is an athlete, but we need talent, not 2 star talent. 2011 5-7, 2012 5-7, 2013 3-9, 2014 2-10. Two star players produces these types of records just saying, but anyway good for you Byron.
