This potential Sweet 16 and Elite Eight would be an amazing weekend of basketball in Beantown.

#1 UConn
#2 Tennessee
#3 Duke
#5 Kentucky

Critics are already lining up to call Brooklyn->Boston as 4 home games for our Huskies...but they wouldn't be able to criticize this 'big-name' gauntlet.

#16 E. Kentucky
#8 Michigan State
#5 Kentucky
#3 Duke

Obviously doesn't matter this early but that is a brutal region, could make a compelling case that seeds 2-5 are each the best on their respective line and an 8-9 line that features two preseason top 15 teams. I'd still take our boys to make it out but this board would have a meltdown is that was or draw.

Really hoping to see the following actually occur in March.

1. At least one Big East team in each region. This current iteration has no one in the South...but even moving 9 SJ, 10 Prov, or 11 SH to the South wouldn't exactly increase probability of another BE FF team. Hopefully one of these will go on a run and jump up a few seed lines.

2. More importantly, placing these teams in regions that UConn won't face until championship game, which actually occurs in this iteration.

Purdue - best 2 teams in country
Kansas and UNC - already faced off in 23-24
Marquette and Creighton - conference mates

Who gives a flying flip what the "critics" have to say if we bet the Brooklyn to Boston path? We will have earned it if we are able to complete a dominant regular season.

Funny how we hardly heard nary a peep when Duke or UNC has been able to play all their games in state or at least very close by to get to the Final 4. For example, we lost to UNC in Greensboro in the Elite 8 in 1998.

get 'em a WHAAAAAAMBULANCE
