As a father of a son who plays on the baseball team you might be misinformed. Baseball programs are only allowed 11.7 scholarships, know matter what school you go to. The player is well informed of the rules laid out by coach Penders, no drinking, no drugs, good grades, you get the drift. If a player doesn't perform on or off the field then he will lose the scholarship money. There is not a lot to go around. If a player does better then expected then he could see an increase. Coach doesn't have much leway, as it is a short season, so you have to put up or shut up. Coach Penders in my opinion seems real and genuine. He gives the young men a choice and chance to prove themselves and its up to them not the coach to get it done. So where ever you got your info I do think it is sour grapes and im sure down south they make coach Penders look like a cat.
