Figured this would be a good spot to keep track of any realignment related items on the agenda at the AAC meetings. Presidents, AD's, Football, and Basketball coaches all will be in attendance.

Send Dooley to the lobby. Get the gofundme page going. Hopefully he won't get ACCFever when down there, we need to keep him on the CRA train.

Screw that -- I have a competing gofundme page to send @Dooley to Big 12 meeting same week!;)

Of course, but Dooley is our official super fan rep (Nostical too), so send him to all conf meetings. B1G, B12 ACC, AAC and PAC12. He is forbidden to attend CUSA, MAC, BE, etc. At the AAC he can give our goodbyes.

Is this the NCAA equivalent of a year book committee meeting?

There will be a trophy game announced between UConn and Tulsa called The Minor Tiff.

Sounds right.

And I understand that all schools will be required to adopt a cardinal direction, preferably two, to the university name in the coming year. Might as well cement the G5 status.

I want to see reporters asking open ended questions all week, to the tune of "How do you plan to replace UConn when they leave" and "What does the conference do to overcome the inevitable loss of its leading program, UConn?" Every question has to assume it is done. It can never be suggested to be in doubt.

I think the Ritz Carlton is a completely inappropriate place to hold this event given the poor TV contract. If Aresco wants an annual meeting at the Ritz in Key Biscayne, then he needs to close a TV contract worth at least $100 million a year. With the crappy contract we have now, the annual meeting should be at a Motel 6 in Fort Lee. Coffee is for closers.

Why would they talk about realignment?

it's been somewhat of a discussion point listed for some of the other conference meetings so I can only assume especially with most of the XII candidates mentioned being AAC schools that there will at minimum be questions in relation to realignment asked.

Yeah, but he needs people to attend the damn thing, hence the nice location and hotel. Put it in Memphis and people won't show.

LOL yeah, the way to attract investors and new business in every organization is to project austerity.

I'm only a half hour away, and I'm not attending the damn thing. LOL.

The AAC is currently fat with cash due to exit money ,and Big East NCAA payouts.
Bowl payouts were not bad either. He also has the kick back from ESPN from UConn's tier three rights.
Aresco's strategy is if you act like your big time you will eventually be compensated like you are big time.

I'm picking up what you're putting down...and I agree. Always send your grips up. Never down.

It's funny - I was going to point out it's perfect for the AAC.

I've stayed there - It's got to be the worst Ritz on the planet.

He's welcome to use mine. I'm smart enough to not bother going. I'd last maybe five minutes before being asked to leave rather forcefully, and being escorted off the premises by a couple of burly hotel security guards.
