Jim Foster, currently tied for 8th, will now take over sole possession this season.
Muffet (820 wins), currently 11th, will pass both Landers (862) and Selvig (865) in the 2017-18 season, moving into 9th.

Selvig spent 38 years at a single school - longest tenure in D-1 along with Summitt & Harry Perretta, among coaches with 600+ wins.

(And I'd be surprised if there were any coaches with 38+ years with less than 600 wins!)

Can someone provide or link to the current list of winningest coaches?

See 2nd link in my orig post.

Oops, sorry and thanks ;)

So there are basically 4 coaches (Tara, Hatchell, Stringer, Geno) in the race to 1,000 wins and beyond. It's kinda fascinating to speculate on the order in which they'll get there. Gotta think Tara will be first, and it seems probable that both Sylvia and C. Vivian will limp across the 1,000-win line just ahead of a rapidly closing Geno.

I hope a succession plan's in place already; otherwise, a tough time to go looking for a coach.

At 980 wins, Vanderveer will almost certainly reach the 1000 win plateau before the end of the 2017 conference schedule this coming season. Both Hatchell & Stringer had sub-standard seasons last year, finishing with wins in the teens. Hatchell has a shot - needing 25 victories - but will likely need a good post-season run to reach. Stringer needs 29 wins and most likely will have to wait until the following season (2017-18). Auriemma needs 45 victories, which means he will reach 1000 probably by the end of January 2018, at the latest. Interesting to think we will have so many new members of the 1000 club in such a short space of time.

It could be a truly amazing year the 2017-18 season with three coaches all passing 1000 wins in a single season. And it will be an amazing two year span with 4 coaches reaching 1000 wins.

(Of course that is assuming the NCAA does not decide to dock wins from Sylvia's record.)
