very pleased to see Terry RIchardson and Jon come back to East Hartford.

Ryan Steinberg is in his eighth season with Maryland, including his fourth as the assistant director of football operations/recruiting. He spent the previous four seasons as the assistant recruiting coordinator.

Steinberg maintains the recruiting database, is in charge of mailings and has been the director of the Maryland football camp since 2011. He also organizes all on-campus recruiting visits and special events, as well as assisting in academic and compliance issues for prospective student-athletes.

He spent the 2007 season as an intern on the Maryland staff. Steinberg was also the assistant camp director in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Prior to becoming a full-time member of the staff, Steinberg spent five seasons as a student assistant in the Maryland football office.

He served as the Gridiron Technology specialist from January 2006 through May 2007, helping implement and maintain the state-of-the-art computer program which aids the coaches and players in simulating game action.

Steinberg also spent the 2002 through 2006 football seasons as a student equipment manager, including the final three as the head student manager.

He also worked at the Terrapin Technique School each summer as a student.

A native of North Potomac, Md., Steinberg graduated from Maryland in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in family studies. He also minored in sports commerce and culture and received his master's in management from the University of Maryland University College in May of 2011. He completed his M.B.A from UMUC in August of 2014 and was a member of the athletics department’s Emerging Leaders Program during the 2013-14 academic year.

Love Wholly and Richardson being back. Both are perfectly qualified for their jobs. Not a nepotism fan but, as I said, that is not unusual in college football coaching and it is what it is. Not a problem to have one positional coach, with grad assistant experience, starting out. Steinberg I assume is a non-coaching position, and looks like a very good get. Hopefully brings us some names of players that MD looked at and where just below Big Ten level at the end of the day.

I like that all these guys are recruiters.

TR as AHC is interesting. Was he an OC elsewhere? Seems like a bone, to get him aboard, but I like that he is back. We had a nationally top ranked running game back in the day, he was a big part of that.

I am not sure where Terry Richardson was yesterday.

Today, I am certain that he is back networked with the handful of key Miami area HS coaches and we are about to get another Justin Perkins, Darius Butler, Jasper Howard. That is a solid piece of why the Edsall years had some spice.

I long for the days when we had playmakers at LB. Guys that could run and hit people. To say nothing of the days when we could run the duck*ing ball.

OC will be a key and I have to believe this staff is scouring the earth for JC and 5th year QBs to avoid what could be a huge problem next season. Diaco had to be out of his mind the way he managed that position.
