That's a pleasant surprise. He was originally recruited by UConn as a QB with NC State recruiting him as a safety.

http://shoresportsnetwork.com/red-bank-catholic-star-eddie-hahn-commits-to-uconn/

>>Hahn, who also is one of the top players on the basketball team, shined as a quarterback and in the secondary in helping to lead the Caseys to the NJSIAA Non-Public Group III title in the fall for their first state title since 1976. He was a first-team All-Shore selection by Shore Sports Network, as the Caseys also won their fifth straight division title in addition to posting a school-record 11 wins.<<

>>Hahn was recruited as a general athlete by the Huskies and not specifically as a quarterback or defensive back, according to Caseys coach Jim Portela. That means the Huskies’ staff will evaluate which position suits his versatile talents best.<<

>>In his first full season as the starting quarterback after rotating as a sophomore, he was 81-for-127 (64 percent accuracy) for 1,485 yards passing, averaging 18.3 yards per completion and throwing 20 touchdown passes despite rarely playing in the fourth quarter for much of the season because of blowout wins. He also ran for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns on an average of 7.5 yards per carry.

Also a talented safety, he had 32 tackles, two interceptions and 12 passes defensed. Hahn was also RBC’s punter, averaging 34.1 yards per punt on 21 attempts with a long of 55 yards.<<

Nice get!

So far, three 3* players. This kid had NC State, the other had Temple and while the first only had JMU, it looked like he had interest from the regional P5 schools.

We'll see what else comes our way, but so far, seems decent.

Wrong class. Well the thread title here is wrong too. Hahn is class of 16. Ryslik is 15.

Another nice addition! Welcome to UConn Eddie! I love seeing HCBD being able to pull quality guys out of quality programs in NJ. Beating out NC State and Duke just makes this even sweeter!

Great get. Welcome aboard! At the very least there should be no shortage of competition at QB in the coming years even if there is some attrition.

My first reaction was, "Olde time hockey?" in a Manitoba accent. This offseason has been endless.

Makes your roster that much deeper, bigger and more versatile with athletes such as Williams, Dixon and Hahn. Love the 3 commits so far. All have the ability to play multiple positions. All with great size and leadership ability from the QB position.
