Given he ran the anchor leg his was likely even a little faster. But so what, he can run fast and jump high. Where would the relevance be to football...?

I do not deny that he has jumped 6' 10". Very impressive feat. I just pointed out that he also NH in a recent meet. Not very consistent. The winning jump in the meet I cited was 6' 2".

I stated in my post that he anchored the 4 by 200 relay team. If he is such am impressive sprinter why wasn't he running any of the other sprints? 23 seconds would have been good for 19th place at the New England's last year. Relay times are also a little faster because you get a running start. He might be fast but not dramatically fast.

Time will tell! We will see if every P5 football coach in America was wrong and HCBD was right.

they do measure vertical leap at the combine, and Byron Jones also logged one of the highest vertical scores. You don't think it's an asset when a WR can jump up to catch a ball in the corner of the endzone? Or when a DB jumps up to deflect a pass over his head?

You're hating on the validity and ability of a 17-18 year old student athlete. What does that say about you? The kid hasn't even lifted a weight inside a college weight room. Nor has he spent more than a day or two meeting coach Balis. Let's let these kids get on campus redshirt a year a get some playing time under their belt before making any assanine assumptions he isn't a division 1 college football player. Shame on you.

In 1996 he logged 8 sacks and in 1999 he had 8½, after recovering from missing the entire 1998 season. He also picked off a pass from Kurt Warner and returned it for a touchdown in the last game of the 1999 season. He was forced to retire after the 2000 season due to injuries. He has been inducted into Boston College's Sports Hall of Fame.
