So, basically if your school didn't make the state tournament, you didn't make the all-state team. Only exception was the kid from Xavier.

For only the Top 20 in the state first team team it appears so... on the Class LL, Class L, Class M and Class S All State Teams there are non-play-off teams.

>Please Note: Players who made the Top 20 CHSCA first team were placed there removed from their class teams, and the class teams were readjusted.<

The Coaches are all over the board (imagine that). Some teams have a TE, some don't. Some teams have an "Athlete", some teams don't. First team has no Punter/Kicker - other teams do.

It ended up being a really good list. For anyone that doesn't know, top voters received recognition for 1st Team All-State pretty much regardless of position.

Still would've liked to see Drysdale in a UCONN uniform but can't blame him for going the Ivy route. He's a great kid, very bright too.

Still hoping UCONN can somehow lure Ben Mason here.... Scott Lutrus 2.0....

I've watched both of them live because they ended up playing my town this season. Mason is great and had like 11 tackles against our schools single season yards record holder and held him to less than 90 yards. Drysdale was recognized as a line backer but in my opinion he's better as a running back. In the state championship as well as the regular season he made our defense look silly. Never thought Drysdale was gonna come, but it seems like Mason really enjoys the school

Interesting that the USAToday list has the New Caanan QB as second team and lists the kid from Darien as first team. None of the other lists even list him. No mention of Rose, even second team.

What is the deal with Isaiah wright? Committed to Rutgers before the coaching change and his lead recruiter is gone. Are we trying to get involved there again?

He's still a solid verbal to Rutgers, I believe. Although, he did take an official visit to Temple in mid-December. Prior to his verbal to Rutgers, his top three schools were RU, BC, and tOSU. Hopefully, the staff is still involved. Kid is a great athlete, with a college ready body, at 6'2, 218.

Per usual, GameTime and Sean put together the best All-State team. Very fair IMO

Agreed - would like to see them be all inclusive of preps for a comprehensive team similar to USA Today team. NHR puts quite of bit of resources towards HS sports (especially web based content).
