Seems to have a lot of guys we aren't connected with like the FAU guys and missing Mahaney. I think it is just a wish list from the writer without a lot of beef to the story.
OKC is so fun to watch with their ball movement and great offensive players. I feel like I'm watching UCONN. I hope they win it this year even though I think it is going to be Denver who wins it.
What I meant I see them being comparable in athletic talent but I guess we will find out more during Karban's NBA Draft combines. I think he will surprise. I do think McNeely is a better shooter with a nicer release. That is his key in being a first rounder. I would like Karaban improve his shot...
During the regular season he played 9 with Diarra. They really didn't stop playing Diarra until the final four. He did average 12.7 minutes in 2022-2023 so 9 man rotation is pretty accurate.
Karaban has also mentioned doing those in a podcast. I don't see McNeely being similar athletically to Alex was as far as jumping. Alex was a decent athlete too. Definitely better than Cam.
Karaban actually is a decent athlete and a pretty good jumper. That is why he blocks shots. I think Karaban is actually better athlete than McNeely or at least they are both on par. I agree with Spencer being worst athlete but is just so crafty with the ball which McNeely isn't. What McNeely has...
Yeah I see him more of a Karaban Replacement. Maybe a better handle than Karaban and better D. He is not as good of a 3 PT shooter, but he did shoot 36%, or passer as Karaban. Pretty good rebounder. He can create his own offense at times off the dribble too. I saw him a game and came away impressed.
I know people were giving Murrary most of the credit for the offensive sets but it definitelys sounds like Hurley has transformed and changed his coaching style as he knows the game real well obviously. He isn't no Mike Anderson for sure! LOL! Amazing coach and so glad he is ours for a long...
His handle was one of the beat thing about him. He would be creating offense in junk time and running the team. I think his defense wasn't that good but of course that would of improved over time. Sad to see him go as I said before bit home him the best wherever he lands.
My favorite player on this year's team. I'm so happy to see him develop into a bonafide scorer during the tournament. We wouldn't of won #6 without him. Thanks for #6 @Castle and I'm sure you will be a star NBA player. Now i just need to get Castle jersey. LOL!
A little surprised especially with Karaban potentially leaving but I guess he would still not have much of a chance to paly with the other highly regarded Freshman forward we are bringing in. Has a great hand, athletic and can shoot the ball from his limited minutes. Good luck Roumoglou where...
Like mentioned before he could be coming back like Newton did when he tested the waters. This still isn't clear cut he is gone as he isn't a definite 1st round pick.
I'm glad Alex wants to test out the waters but I think he needs to return and work on his shot mechanics and have a quicker release. Either way I love him and he is one of the all time UConn great players. Blessing to have him play here and win 2 Nattys.
I came believe Mcclung is MVP of the G League and can't even sniff and NBA roster. Congrats to Adamaa. Hopeffuly next year he is playing the top league where he deserves to be.
Final four finished April 3rd last year compared to April 8th. Give until the beginning of next week and we should know more. I think Hurley was meeting one on one with players this week.
Really from what? The few times he went to the basket weak and got blocked or his shot altered as he dribbling in slow speed I was actually surprised of how good of a shooter he was compared to his driving ability. I thought high school reports were the opposite. Well of course high school...
I beg to differ if they had those 5 players I think they would of won. Either or next season is a new one and UConn should be one of the best in Women's basketball with a legit chance to win it if everyone is healthy. It has nothing to do with Geno as he is still a great coach and the kids still...
Yeah but did you see that he got to the final four with very depleted team(Filled with injuries 5 of them to core players)? That was quite an accomplishment and should of beat Iowa if not for some questionable calls at the end of the game. Imagine what he can do when he has a lot more talent...
Put on a little more muscle and work on his lateral quickness so he won't have to grab with his hands on defense all the time. He needs to stop using his hands on defense so much to stop a move. If he is stronger he can survive some physical play without reaching.
Yeah, I came away so impressed with how much of an X & O coach Sean Miller was or maybe anyone compared to Mike Anderson looked like Basketball Genius. LOL!
Why does it mention Matt Knowling from Yale going to UConn. Have we reached out to him? He is a PF so is that just a backup plan if Alex leaves for the NBA?
When I think of Sean Miller I think of when Fox had mic'd up the coaches for the whole game a few years back. Xavier was playing St. John's who had Mike Anderson their at the time. The difference of the Basketball Acumen between Sean Millier and Mike Anderson was startling. Mike a great coah who...
Solo Ball needs to work on your handle and ability to drive. With that explosivemess you shouldn't have as much trouble scoring at the basket which he eitehr never tried oor wasn't that sucessful because of lack of handle. Also, needs to work on his defense as that wasn't a stregth too and...
This is such a bad comparison. Dennis Rodman was super fast high twitch athlete. He could out jump people for rebounds and so fast down the court. Sanogo is slower but stronger and knows how to score inside and better shooter. Dennis was basically a defender, rebounder and hustle guy. Sanogo is...
