    Adama vs Kofi

Kofi would manhandle Adama. He is more physically dominant and skilled. I do think Adama works harder whereas it looks like Kofi turns his efforts on and off and can look pretty pedestrian from what I've seen. Consistent hard work matters.

    Dan Hurley Gone ..!!!

Hurley needs to learn some self-control. Loved how Kamani comported himself right down to the wire. The line between extreme passion and outright stupidity is pretty thin and one needs to know when the line is crossed. Hurley has managed to develop a counterproductive relationship with the...

Chief - Cleaning up One Thing @ a Time Translates to Winning

he just needs to limit his fakes and pivots and either go up strong or kick out faster. He gets tied up and loses the ball holding it too long. He's too big and strong not to go up hard, use his body as a shield and finish.

Anthony: Why UConn men’s basketball coach Dan Hurley is so volatile: ‘Level of shame that comes with losing”

Dan is a mercurial guy who gets himself out of control and emotions take over. Passion is an excuse for a lack of control. Passion means dedication to doing everything you can to achieve your objectives. The fact that he intensely fears the feeling of losing, says a lot. It also explains why...

    2022 > Jim Mora era begins…

    RJ just not good enough

Ill give Cole a pass since he's saved our bacon a lot more than he's fried it. The guy can't shoulder the entire load every game. What I do see is guys that are tired and getting run into the ground.

Rip up the Rotations and Game Plans

Excellent post. Danny needs to get a strategy fast and it starts with transition basketball. We simply cannot produce in a set offense with poor outside shooting, and minimal ball and player rotation. We need to get numbers and press up the floor. The extended man to man D has an innate...

    CFP expansion = el muerto

These cartel arrangements only last for so long before they fall apart. It's hard to predict when and how, but the pigs will take it one step too far and start destroying the very thing that makes CFB worth following. How long before some NIL deal is implicated in a sports betting scheme...

    Need Thoughtful Analysis

Seems like mostly high-level FCS players. Definitely need some P5 quality players out of the portal to salt the team and make major improvements. Mora cant get there from here with what he has.

Spanos -- are you freakin' joking?

Not pleased with this maneuver at all based solely on his success with our own D. It is not good and he owns that. Even if you think it has marginally improved from historically bad levels under Crocker, it's hard to conclude the guy with nearly the worst defense in FBS is the best among all...

Pratt & Whitney Excess Acreage To Be Listed (Updated)

10 miles from New Haven to LI across the water. The 2 Miles or so from LI to NJ. Its really not that technically difficult. Expensive but it would be repaid with tolls. If you're a trucker there are enormous economic savings in fuel and road time. Probably worth $80 each way for a truck.

Pratt & Whitney Excess Acreage To Be Listed (Updated)

Agree that getting -1-84/1-91 underground to recapture the city would be hugely beneficial by reconnecting the river properly with the city, eliminating the highway divide between downtown and its north and west areas. Massive savings in time and reduction in pollution would be building a...

Pratt & Whitney Excess Acreage To Be Listed (Updated)

Its been a fairly constant bleed out. The advantage that CT enjoyed was as a tax haven between NY and MA which attracted capital and corporate HQs bringing high net worth people to the State until voracious tax and spending policies destroyed that.

UConn Expected to Pay At Least $2M For Next Head Coach

?? Median is the value of the Nth position being the Population/2. Average is the sum of all values divided the number of values. Median attempts to limit the distortion of large values on the average.

UConn Expected to Pay At Least $2M For Next Head Coach

Not really that hard. You clearly don't understand probability distribution. Average means the middle of the curve. It means you get what you pay for within orders of deviations.

UConn Expected to Pay At Least $2M For Next Head Coach

yup. Shooting for the middle means you're shooting for the middle. When you pay for average, rarely do you get more than what you pay for, are content if you get what you paid for, and many times often get less. That's the nature of mediocrity. If you want to really compete you have to pay up...

UConn Expected to Pay At Least $2M For Next Head Coach

The trick is paying up but not getting burned. Has to be big pay, winning incentives with a short fuse. We can't fall for the five-year culture plan. $2M seems light for what we need IMO.

There is going to be a retention problem....

No. I'm saying we shouldn't apply dollars and cents logic to the decisions that are made. If they did, there wouldn't be a new softball/baseball/soccer complex because the revenue generated wouldn't even cover the service on the bonds.

There is going to be a retention problem....

It's a good point. Of course, they just built softball, baseball and soccer stadiums for $65 Million (Bonded OPM) that will never generate a dime of income and just saddled the University with more operating expenses. So, I'm not sure economics has much to do with it unless it serves their agenda.

Connecticut governor declares UConn is 'all in' on big-time college football despite its current spot at bottom (Yahoo Thamel)

A few thoughts: 1. I’m not sure it is benign neglect as much as calculated malign actions. The goal is to starve the program to a state of embarrassment and hopelessness that there is no support for it, and the logical course of action becomes drop or cancel the program. Thus, the carefully...

The Existential Question to be Answered First

No Pudge. It's basic logic and math. "Basketball is important to us" is simply a statement devoid of meaning beyond an emotional claim. It may be but isn't in relation to the rest of the money landscape. It's hard to argue facts with emotionally driven sentamentalism that refuses to...

This is not accurate. It's still relevant as a measure of eyes balls and advertising value (and the new Big12 will make the point with a $25M a year per school deal). The means of access has only expanded which creates perceived market dilution because the cable traditional network model...
