Because they are the 10th/11th/12th guys. I'm sorry, but there is zero chance we're going that deep. DH gets his 8 man rotation by BE season and it's not really going to vary.
On paper we will have some depth... But let's be realistic and say that DH typically only goes 8 deep with sometimes a 9th guy getting a minute of two. That 9th guy became Ball who barely played in the tournament stretch outside of garbage time. I'd be surprised if we only had one guy getting...
A 1? Really? He played like 12 minutes the whole year. I think the kid has some talent for sure but he's definitely going to get squeezed out again I'd imagine.
Nothing in college sports really matters anymore... A kid flipped between 'Bama and Auburn the other day. 10 years ago those fans were poisoning the trees.
So he committed to Illinois, decommitted, then committed to SJU, then portaled to Wiscy, now portaled to Kansas? Will he be the first 4 schools in 4 years guy?
I've been over there lurking far more than I care to admit... It's legit watching the world's worst tennis match. They legit destroyed Cal on the way out for only recruiting five star guys and then lost their collective minds when they hired Pope because he wouldn't be able to lure 5 star guys...
Some that come to mind...
Donyell's 42 against St. Johns in the BET.
Caron vs. Maryland... absolutely carried us.
Ray's 36 against UCLA
Clingan vs. Illinois
Shabazz 25pts in 25 min against Nova in the tourney... Think he had a stretch when it got tight where he hit 4 straight threes to extend...
Didn't Jalen have about 32 turnovers in that game?
Edit: Just looked it up... 10 turnovers. Although my memory is that most were in the first half where we were horrid.
He'll be interesting to follow. Does he become a Philly-era Andre Iguodala? Or does he add more scoring and become a Jimmy Butler-type who plays off the ball or is he a PG?
I really like Stewart and he had some big moments. I think, collectively as a board, we are underrating McNeeley. Just my $0.02. Obviously the defense factor is huge and tbd. But I could see both getting similar minutes for sure.
I've heard something similar... I think it was something with the ovens or something. I heard a rumor that it's straight-up not going to open. This is all 2nd, 3rd-hand mind you.
For real? I don't really follow the mock draft stuff and I do believe Steph will be a solid/good NBA player, but #1? I thought it was a pretty foregone conclusion that the 7 foot French kid was #1.
Khalid was the secondary ballhandler? That's not my memory at all. While Ricky certainly held some of the playmaking duties, Khalid was still the defacto PG on that squad. We love Ricky now, but he took a lot of abuse in those days on these boards and was still "Rickety" Moore at that point and...
