    Geno on the recruiting trail

One of the players Mullen refers to (Patterson) is somebody I've noticed UConn has shown interest in for some time.

Napheesa Collier shoots 91%, USA into the finals vs Russia...

I see Napheesa's name in conjunction with Maya and DT, and I think, that's not the last time I'll be seeing those connections.

    Morgan Tuck vs. Natalie Achonwa

Did Canada change its coaching staff about 3-4 years ago? There's been considerable positive player development going on up there the past couple years. I don't recall that pattern further back.

who is this Nurse kid for Canada?

Kia is definitely all set for the frosh-soph jump, but the player I saw today is ready for more, a bigtime national breakout. She ran the team crisply and efficiently while remaining a major scoring threat, a perfect mix of size, strength and speed, and almost never out of control, however...

Almost to the day - July 9th 1995

Phish-heads, Phish-heads, roly-poly Phish heads? My first Dead concert was 1972, just before the famous European tour.

Loved her breaking Renee's ankles on the one move tonight!

So, Who Gets Breanna Stewart Next Year?

The last time Seattle had two #1s in a row, they turned into Lauren Jackson and Sue Bird. Good for the league as well as Seattle.

    Sun Versus Mercury Double OT...

Win, on the road, in double overtime. Not bad at all. I saw a team that looks ready to compete as a team. Lots of players showing quality.

    That's what it's all about.

Molly Bent - from her AAU coach

My favorite Mel memory is her hiking the ball like a football center to a teammate. The Huskies and fans have been spoiled. What's new, right? There has been an incredible...

THE SUN WINS on the road vs The Dream

Shoni Schimmel. Courtney Paris! Danielle Adams?!?!? But KML "can't play in this league". Uh huh.

NC State picks up 2016 Canadian Guard

I wouldn't be so quick to casually dismiss Bulgak, that's one fine young player.

    Sun/Mystics

    Stef looking very good.

    Starting Center Kiah Stokes

Laimbeer talks a lot of trash, for a lot of reasons. I remember him talking up Chandi Jones, even though he wasn't playing her much. I wondered what that was about. Then he traded her for Katie Smith. Point made, BL.

who are YOUR favorite huskies to watch in the wnba this year?

This year with no UConn reason to follow Phoenix, then Minnesota and the very interesting Seattle situation.

    Kelly Faris Speaks

Kelly could walk into almost any Div. I opening in the country as a defensive specialist AC. I'm sure she understands that pursuing a WNBA playing career will always be an uphill struggle for her. So I presume the fact she is pursuing it is her choice. But I have the feeling she could end up...

    Lexie Brown leaving Maryland

If Kaela and Lexie both end up in Knoxville ("closer to home") that would be a serious NC contending team.

Chicago Sky Waives South Carolina's Aleighsa Welch

She was a "tweener" even at the college level. At SoCar, her will and desire were enough to make her effective, just no way at the pro level. I'm not surprised at all.

McCarville won't Play for Lynx this Year

I suppose Jones to Minnesota also opens up the possibility of Brunson to Chicago for Fowles?

    Connecticut Sun does it again

I sometimes wonder if a number of posters have ever seen a rebuilding project before. It's a bumpy and uneven process at best. The reality is that the Sun's project has been relatively smooth until the injury to Chiney. That throws extra challenges at this, which should be the turnaround...

    Favorite childhood board game/activity

I played tons of hoop, but was never able to throw the ball in the ocean from the beach. Monopoly until Risk, which became the game, along with "Strat-o-matic" baseball.

    What's your favorite replay?

The 2000 NC game is always fun.

    WNBA: Katie Douglas Retires

I don't believe Chiney is expected to be available to play at any time this season. My understanding would be that The Sun can place her on Suspended List where she's not allowed to appear at all, which she won't, and otherwise fill that roster slot.
  27. R

What WNBA match ups do you want to see?

I just want Chiney to have a full and speedy recovery. Without her and DT, this may be a less-than-satisfying WNBA season.

South Carolina: "Rotation For Next Year Could Be Deadly"

There's a constant refrain that SC can't hit outside shots, and I haven't seen a single reference to Tina Roy. Obviously not enough to carry a team, but definitely a weapon.

    Well this is boring...

To get a shooting guard from Meriden, UConn has to go to Idaho?

    If Stewie and Mo...

I think the LA Sparks could probably use Mo the most. I think Parker, Nneka and Toliver give her a nice set of options to play with. As for Stewie...this year, being without Chiney, the Sun could probably benefit the most. Over the longer term, anybody can use her.

Lauren Cox- list of six colleges

That list suggests, in UConn's favor, that program success is a major factor.

What did you miss most this year?

Stef singing and dancing and acting and generally making a spectacle.
