    Who will Sarah Strong pick?

I also wonder if she was waiting on Edwards decision as it absolutely impacted potential playing time.

    Hall / Johnnies

I lived in Lafayette in Towers. I wasn't in the Band, didn't play an instrument until I hit 40! The student seats were end of the court behind one basket. From Wiki as I didn't recall scores: 1974 First Round Quarterfinals St. John's Boston College W 82–70 L 75–76

    Hall / Johnnies

I was on one of those buses, I was a freshman too! That was a great team and the NIT was still a big deal back then. Off topic slightly, my girlfried lent JT a paper for Kiddie Lit.

I Know We have this question all the time but…

exactly, it's a significant advantage ergo why the top team plays early, then the 2nd seed etc.

I sign into my YouTube TV at the office and run it on one of my screens with the sound off.

    Shout out to Ice

I meant with an Ice that I had confidence in, but concede the point. I just felt this is the first time we've seen what Ice can really be like and reaching her potential. Totally different player to my relatively untrained eyes.

    Shout out to Ice

@EricLA, thanks for starting this. Having a confident Ice has the potential to change how deep we go in the tourney - we haven't had 2 bigs on the court at the same time at all this season never mind confidently subbing one in and out. It gives us potential for an entirely new look offensively...

Let's see how they do in their tournament. It'll be much harder for them with a short bench.

    Schedule next year

I'm not sure "cock of the walk" is an appropriate metaphor for Huskies, maybe for SC, Top Dogs would be more on target!.

Thanks for posting, this is crazy what he does.

Will Houston be severly impacted by the loss of JoJo Tugler to season-ending injury

Per the Athletic: No. 1 Houston loses Tugler for season in blow to title chances They seem to think it could impact their title hopes!

How do you handle your feelings?

I'm such a homer, I always bet on UConn. There's a commercial where they say you are about 50% more likely to have a heart attack if you are watching your team play!

    OT: California Rain

This. jleves, gotta disagree that you have the infrastructure built to handle large rainfalls. You channel water well so any rainfall you get makes small rainfalls become big runoffs. We're mostly built to handle water in the east, but CA is built for runoff. CA s basically a desert, so the...

    OT: California Rain

Yes, they aren't built to deal wih rain of any quantity; Downtown Napa used to flood all the time even without the big rains. They reworked the river through town and added flood gates, which has resulted in a huge boom in downtown Napa actually! Good thing with all this rain!

My son's house in Napa has been out for over 24 hours. A bunch of Redwoods and large pines took out his neighborhood wires.

How long have you been attending UConn games?

Attended my first Men's bball game in 1973 as a freshman. Can't remember my first women's game but between '90 and '95

Good point Tom. We should all keep that in mind going forward.

I picked up the latest Booker and was pleasantly surprised at how much I like this version of “Mighty Fine Batch”. Been sipping it at 126.6 proof though.

    Luxury Watches

I decided that I didn't need as formal a watch and I'm a diver, so the Aquatimer was the IWC for me. I was lucky enough to catch one used. Wears well with tee shirts and flannel and works with a tie and sport coat (although I rarely wear one - I did wear it to a wedding in Carmel last year)!

    Luxury Watches

I would have preferred buying my IWC new, but I'm not going to spend $8-10k on a watch. I was able to pick up a used 2-3 year old IWC for less than half of the grey market retail. It's cleaned and buffed, you can't tell it was pre-owned and I felt good saving $4k. Likely, it was rarely if...

You can get a Tag or Breitling for $2k ish. To me that is the starting point of luxury watches. I'm not a watch guru though!

It's jewelry for men, wear it when you go out, and then you can gift it to your son as "dad's" watch. No one will care where you got it!

Has any UConn upper classman helped their future basketball career more so than Tristan Newton?

Hilton is who I thought of as well. He came back senior year having totally reworked his body and his play.

I have Google Fi (still) which is T-Mobile. I think the coverage is surprisingly great everywhere I've been including driving cross country a few times in the past couple of years. Weirdly though, for the last year, my house in Westport is an exception. We have to use wifi calling or our...

    Fantasy Football

last year I scored a D and finished third - Davonte Adams made my entire season, so having that one point machine can really make or break you. The grades are worthless. I got an A+ this year likely since I was lucky to have the 4th pick (Chase) and Kupp falling to 25 - although whether he...
