@CTBasketball If I were you I would definitely reach out to @GemParty and he’ll give you some good recommendations. He is a wealth of knowledge and has a real estate network all over the US (and beyond I think). He will be able to match your wish list with a strong agent in the local areas you...
I can’t say enough good things about Benedict for pulling this off, and I honestly think it will have P5 implications long term. Warde Manuel would’ve been caught ‘monitoring the situation’ instead of doing what it takes to seal the deal.
I got insulted when I suggested player retention might be better with KO gone. Anyway, this is very encouraging to see. Give me a core of Adams, Gilbert, Sid and Vital and a couple late recruits with a competent coach and we can come back sooner than people think.
It’s comical to me that people still defend our 10 million dollar coach. Just open your eyes. This is arguably the most poorly coached team in America and it’s because Kevin Ollie didn’t put in the work to even be competent forget about great.
I don’t take pleasure in watching anyone squander a golden opportunity, especially due to lack of effort but that’s exactly what KO did. I was done with KO the second I read the interview where Calhoun was quoted saying he wishes he was more involved in the program.
They acknowledge the fact that Ollie is owed 10 plus million and then Goodman goes on to say he’s heard that UConn still wants/intends to buy him out. Predicts that Danny Hurley will be our coach, with Frank Martin and Bruce Pearl as wildcards.
Make no mistake, Matthews and Akinjo are aware of the NCAA’s inquiry into the program.
“We talked about the investigation,” said Alwert. “We’ve been told that nothing’s gonna happen on that. (Matthews) is a kid that’s faithful and loyal to the decision he makes.”
I sure hope this is right and...
Worst timing ever per usual with UConn. If Ollie leaves this program with sanctions or the investigation still looming this job just got a hell of a lot less appealing. It’s hard to put into words how much damage he’s done to the program the past 4 years.
The lack of player development under this coaching staff is glaring. Although all three are a bit soft they definitely have upside, and unfortunately they didn’t feel they could get better at UConn. Can you really blame any player that’s not a guard for not wanting to play under Ollie’s patented...
There’s just no accountability with Kevin and that’s what bothers me most. Instead of owning the dismal state of the program and laying out his plans to get it back on track he continues to point blame, this time at fans. He is grossly incompetent as a head coach and will cost us a lot more than...
The fact that the Ollie apologist crowd is worried about losing incoming recruits and players is comical. You do realize that Ollie added 8 new players to the current team (more than 60% of the roster) and most were thrown together last minute, right?
Ollie is a total mental midget when it comes to social media. It would be nice if he spent his Twitter time on something important, like devising his first inbounds play in 6 years.
KO had a terrific coaching staff his first two years and now he’s surrounded himself with a bunch of yes men that provide little to nothing in terms of x’s and o’s.
