I have no info, but I think there might be more to Q's no play time than we know.
True her shooting has been off, but she has good hands and is a good rebounder. I thought we would see her for sure, when Nika went out.
Just wondering..........
You can't argue with a strategy that won, but I was sure Q would get some minutes. She is a good rebounder and has good hands. I think there might be more to the story than we know.
HH is very good, but UCONN not stepping into the lane to challenge her drives made her look better.
Much of this was Freshman (and Ice) not having enough experience to automatically back up whoever was guarding HH. When she drove around her opponent, nobody was there or stepped in. Geno will...
He said we would know more this next week about her possible return. Has she been working out at all?
It would be great to get an 8th prime time player. Has any annoucement been made on what's ailing with Ayanna?
Thanks,
As a guard, only Diana matches up. They both make everyone around them much better.
Paige has the edge on defense. Diana might have the edge on the crunch time basket in big games, but that remains to be seen.
Paige has not had as many big game opportunities at this point.
Sue Bird was great...
If you play football for any significant amount of time, you "get your bell rung" frequently.
I know there are players who have ended up a bit scrambled in their later years, but that is a rare phenomenon.
I suspect, but can't prove, all the concussion protocol and the concussion "count" might...
I haven't seen many posts that don't say what Geno is already saying either verbally or by his actions. I don't think our Husky women are snowflakes and they need not be treated as such. When someone posts a positive about a player that is just not true, other posters are right to point that...
Maybe Page's 3 pointer isn't back to where it was before her injury, but sometimes she is passing off when she has a decent 3 available. If being rusty is the reason then ok. If not, Geno will get on her again about being too unselfish.
It depends on which story you believe to be true. One side says she doesn't play her heart out in practice. If that's true, she is not a great teammate. I have no inside info and don't know what to believe, but in the past, Geno has rewarded practice hustle with some PT.
Is she injured ? Is she just not hustling in practices ? Does she just not have enough talent ? ..........or is it something else that keeps her out of games.
Thanks,
52.5% of the time, the better team wins the tip off. If you are the better team, at least half the time you will have the best center. It's a silly measure of the importance of the tip off.
