    “Storrs Central”

If Storrs central is actually genuine about not eating into the BY, then why is there a forum to begin with? Honestly, you'd probably be better served just soliciting $100 donations and send out tee shirts or hats ala PBS. What information could possibly be considered "exclusive" enough to be...

    Where is our commissioner?

Schools like UConn operate billion dollar budgets. Seton Hall getting an additional $2M for the league divided up against 11 teams is the repair for a new bathroom in a dorm. Totally immaterial to anything on a prez radar.

    John Fanta

Right? He's prepared, well spoken, has a good sense of self deprecating humor (ala Raf) and defers to his color analyst for insight. The fact that he actually gives a S comes through on the tv as opposed to guys just cashing checks who just yell things loudly to overcompensate (cough gus Johnson).

    245 pm on Friday

If your car gets stolen where you parked for a game at the Barclays.. You must have had a hell of a walk to the arena. But for anyone super concerned.. just stay south of the arena between 4th Ave and 7th Ave in Park slope. Just watch out the strollers.

    Where is our commissioner?

The entire cbb world is going to forget the snubs the second the tournament starts. You really think final 4 coverage will spend a second on seton Hall?

A Hill I'll Fight On. To the death.

I guess the degree of underappreciated (ranked 1 or 2 spots lower) is just different than how I'd say it. But I suppose I get your point. Fair enough.

    Marquette Post Game Thread

Can't say enough about Hurley, the staff and the kids. What a program. It's been a hell of a ride. Can't wait for Brooklyn.

A Hill I'll Fight On. To the death.

How in the world is Rip under appreciated? He's a college basketball Hall of Famer, uniform retired by the school, an all star level NBA champion and widely considered (by far) the best player on the widely considered best team in program history?

The irony of you providing the definition of thin skinned is pretty good.

    Is Tim Brando ok?

Perhaps the only thing that's changed about UConn is the skin of its head coach. It's lighter these days. I'm guessing (?) he's saying it's not as red from screaming on the sidelines? Pretty bizarre.

    “Storrs Central”

They have 4 "free" offerings and one is a forum and another is "advanced forum tools".. seems kind of disingenuous of them to say it's not going to try and steal traffic from the BY.

    OT Kinda: Men’s CBB Today

Nobody is stopping you from posting numbers speaking to the contrary. CBB numbers are down and it seems impossible to argue that it isn't because of the reasons I cited above.

    OT Kinda: Men’s CBB Today

That's a lot different than what @superjohn posted or rather "thinks". Sports across the board besides the NFL have made many moves to try and appeal to the lowest common denominator with more playoff teams/games and gimmicks and in turn sold out a lot of the core fan bases. I think that more...

    OT Kinda: Men’s CBB Today

You said the numbers don't bare that. I gave you numbers and you're still in disagreement.. without anything to substantiate it other than that's what you think? I threw out the title games, final 4 and regional finals all being down. More people watch MM than the regular season. So, unless...

    OT Kinda: Men’s CBB Today

It's pretty simple: Conference realignment ended decades long rivalries, transfer market killed roster continuity and the G league, overtime elite, etc took a lot of talent that could have been stars at the college level. With that formula it's hard for the college game to be really anything...

    Cam Spencer Appreciation Thread

He was a baller last year for SUNJ. I had to laugh in the off-season when people were saying we have our Joey California replacement. Watched him quite a bit last year, pretty similar stats, same fire, hit big shots. His all around game certainly is elevated with our talent and coaching but he...

Dana O’Neil: tournament expansion unlikely to go past 76

Dana O’Neil: tournament expansion unlikely to go past 76

Absurd and obscene. Just like everything else that has transpired with college sports in the last 20 years. For what it's worth players being compensated is a good thing - execution of it..leaves something to be desired.

How many All Big East Selections?

This is my obligatory annual post stating that having 6 first team members is stupid. And yes, I know the POY is not included as part of the 1st team, so it's supposed to be 1 + 5.. but still dumb.

Creighton sends letter to students after UConn game.

Pointing out that Hurley voiced a complaint to the Big East about the Creighton crowd is bashing UConn? It's just a statement of fact. It Hurley doesn't complain publicly the email never gets sent.

Creighton sends letter to students after UConn game.

Unless it's anything racial, or specific to a person's family, I say as long as it's verbal it's really an effort in futility to try and police language to a cbb crowd.

    OT: UMass to MAC

I don't disagree. From a fan perspective is there really a material difference playing Buffalo, Toledo, and Miami OH than Fordham, Duquesne and Davidson that would cause someone to revolt against the program?
