I find it unsavory to be overly critical of female athletes. That is a flaw I am glad to have. I have respect for any girl that picks up a ball or a puck at a young age to play a “Boys” game.
With that said, I think there 2 kinds of basketball players. There are players and there are...
I won’t watch one episode of a NBC sci-fi show. They prematurely cancel them almost everytime. I’m still mad about Surface (2005) being cancelled after 1 season. They even cancelled Star Trek. Fox is equally as bad (Almost Human, Firefly, Sarah Conner Chronicles, The Orville, etc.). I didn’t...
Azzi will be fine. 3 games in 3 days. She played a lot of minutes and actually played defense. she is an excellent all around player. There is a reason Coach Close kept her on the court despite not shooting well. Some of the guards did her no favors in not giving her the ball when she was open...
*mali outscored Russia 24-4 in the fourth quarter
*russian Anastasia Kosu is awesome. They have her listed as 16 years old. She got 20 points and 20 rebounds against Hungary.
*Mali is physical, athletic, well coached, and play to there strengths.
*international refs are bizarre
I think I would...
It's playing on TCM this month. Last Friday night they did a 90 minute script read of the movie and then followed with the movie. One of the details of the movie was Boris Karloff died before filming started so they used his wife's chiropractor as a fill in. He played a zombie vampire so he...
I mostly agree with you. There is nothing wrong with a constructive conversation. I just disagree with some of the immature comments on this thread. Anybody with one eye can see that Liv didn't play well against Arizona. There is no need to bury the young lady. Why not support her and wish her...
That’s harsh. She’s the best passing big girl on the team. She’s a good screener. She’s a good outlet. She’s good in the high post. What she is not good at is free throws and being strong around the basket. Both weaknesses can be corrected.
I disagree with Geno. How many 4th year all Americans can’t even make a WNBA roster. 1st round picks can’t make a roster. There was a girl from SC just a few years ago, as a top pick, that didn’t even make it through camp. It’s not that Paige isn’t WNBA ready, it’s the 10 other girls that think...
It depends on how the game is called. A tightly called game favors Stanford because of their depth. A loosely called game favors SC because of their physicality.
I disagree. when you have a finesse team against a MMA team, if the refs let everything go the finesse team is at a distinct disadvantage. If the refs call everything then the MMA will get routed.
Refs can decide games with no intent of malice, simply by choosing incorrectly on how to call a...
Think back to last year when Liv had no backup. She would had to tip toe through this type of game. That is the best complete game I’ve seen from Liv. she wasn’t perfect but she was focused for the entire game. I don’t think she had a WTH Moment the entire game.
What a beautiful person. Her postgame presser was very moving. Some people have a special energy to them. I wish her the best in all of her future endeavors.
Kentucky has managed to make the worst defense statistically in the NCAA, look like Patrick Ewing era Georgetown defense. At the same time practicing strict social distancing on the defensive end.
I just looked at the Over and Back and Backcourt violation rule and I didn’t see anything about control or possession. It only mentions touching. She obviously touched it and touched it last before it went into the backcourt, where she touched it again. That’s a backcourt violation. Maybe I...
The screens that UConn got called on Sunday were nothing compared to what Tamu was doing. I only saw the last 4 minutes, but saying that 90% of their screens were illegal is not an exaggeration during the time I watched.
UConn was called for illegal screens because they were standing with their...
The refs were diabolical. Those weren’t errors or judgement calls. They ignored rules and calls that were right in front of them. The NCAA should suspend that crew for the rest of the tournament.
They packed the back line on defense, preventing any backdoor or drives to the basket. They pressured the three point line and sagged back on any UConn player inside the line. The foul line area was open and luckily Liv was on today. What saved UConn was their rebounding, defense and Liv.
UConn...
For anyone who has seen Evina play at Tennessee, what percent is she of that player now? I’m assuming that she is a better player who has lost some athleticism. I’m just curious if she is better or about the same.
