Haven’t posted in a long time, but I looked into this recently and Doron Sheffer was the only 50/40/80 player since 1992. In his freshman year ‘93-‘94 he shot 50.5%/40.7%/80.9%
So Spencer would be the first 50/40/90, and his usage (15.5 PPG vs 11.1 for Sheffer) separates him even if he falls a...
I guess me saying I encourage skeptics wasn’t clear enough but I’m not struggling with it at all lol. Glad you got your two cents in, you clearly needed to.
Think it’s best to move on. A source is a source, nobody/nothing is 100% in situations so fluid. It truly is not a big deal at all. Everyone is on the same side. I’m not some insider, just have some buddies in the know. I usually don’t relay much, just didn’t think this would have been so...
Lol all I did was pass on one little detail and this board can’t handle it. Good reminder of why I never should. My info came from someone who actually covers grassroots basketball and not from reading Twitter tea leaves like 95% of this board. Maybe we step up our efforts with Griffiths once he...
People always talk about his shooting/form, but he really needs to attack the rim and get comfortable laying it up. He doesn’t take nearly enough close 2s and his layup game is fairly non-existent. Clear that up and a respectable 3P% is gravy. I think adding more muscle will really benefit him...
Yeah this is how I see things at this point. If Ramey/Rudi Williams were out after Alleyne committed, no starter quality transfer is coming. We haven’t been linked to anyone else in that tier anyway.
Given where we are now I’d love Odukale, but haven’t heard anything on that front, so I’m not...
I think Welch would be a role player who would fit well personally. Holmes and Lofton will probably both want a bigger role than they would get here and I don’t see Lofton coming to play alongside Newton.
Welch or Holmes from St Bonnie’s make more sense than Lofton IMO. They could at least play more 3 and let Jackson move around more between positions. Plus they’re both better shooters. I doubt any of them are coming here regardless.
Almost every player on this team can play multiple positions so there will be a ton of different 5 man lineups we’ll play with. How often Jackson has to defend 4s will depend on Karaban and Johnson.
like the shooting form
Really like the last few offers. Not to be negative, but with the NLI stuff I think most 5 stars will be a waste of time. Keep hammering the 30-100 range and we’ll be fine.
He and Aaron Clark are both going to be at Brewster next year and we’ve watched both this weekend
Estrella is a post player but moves around pretty well for his height. Not sure if he can shoot at all though.
And you were gassing him up the whole way from recruitment until November. Hindsight is 20/20. Not to say Castle will turn out the same way, I definitely don’t think that. But you can’t trust him to reclassify and be a big contributor for a ranked team. It would be one thing if it was a...
People just watched 3 top 60 recruits fail to give us anything as freshman and now think you can assume Castle can skip a grade and come in and play 25 minutes. Delusional.
It’s classic AAU basketball for them to essentially say “we dictate where our players go” without even realizing what they’re admitting to.
Unfortunately the AAU/HS scene is flooded with coaches and parents who think they’re way more important and powerful than they are.
They both transferred because they didn’t see a big enough role for themselves. Edwards won’t have to worry about that on any team he joins.
Not everything is that connected. This would be no different than Team Final coaches thinking “I hope UConn doesn’t stop showing our program...
To put my stance simply: I want as many players with guard skills on the floor as possible, while still being able to defend the opposing team well at each position. Call each player’s position whatever you want.
