OK with me. I prefer to win with four stars and guys who grind it out.

    Georgia State Post Game Thread

We certainly found a way to cut our potential crowd in half for the next home game. And, if we have a similar start to the FIU game, we may never see half of that crowd for the second half. A crowd of 36,000 will be just a dream again.

Did Andre qualify for a guaranteed contract and what is the estimated money situation? Dre is my guy here in the .Albany area.

Couldn’t agree more. A horrendous, even insulting call. My guess is Fox refused to show Geno being restrained by Jamelle.

The Cuse Looks Defeated Before Entering The Locker Room

Saw kid play several times over his Junior and senior years. Dad played at LeMoyne for Beulein who offered the kid his senior year, but kid leaned to Syracuse. He played with Buddy for Albany Rocks AAU team. Believe me the kid can shoot the three and shot it from way out as a Junior and senior...

    Hawkins

Jackson needs to keep playing his minutes to gain the confidence he needs. Should never have passed up dunk/layup shot late in game when he passed off to Sanogo for a contested shot which did not work. His passing is very effective, six assists, rebounding is good, ball handling will get...

Randy Edsall to retire @ end of season

You are nuts. You certainly don’t know Randy or have talked to the guys who played for him during our glory days. He knows his best days are behind him and the program needs new leadership. It’s now up to Benedict to bring in the new Randy.

    RIP Dee Rowe

I wish I had made this comment. It is pretty close to perfect. Living in New York, I only had occasional opportunities to engage with him. When I did, he was always friendly, willing to discuss various topics, and all class. He graciously signed a book about Cousy written by Bill Reynolds which...

    RIP John Thompson

The man had a presence like few others. His impact on the game, the BE and the role of race in college hoops was significant. May he Rest in Peace.

2021 Recruiting: Rahsool Diggins Commits to UConn

Great job by coaching staff. Story is all over Twitter. Kid was MVP as junior in Philly Catholic League. Prime time player. Love it.

    Renee Montgomery on MSNBC

Watched her on JoyReid show. Very impressed with this young lady and proud to call her a fellow alum. So many great grads Geno has. What a spectacular program we are so lucky to have.

    RIP Stanley Robinson

So sad, no words. Just watched some highlights of Sticks last week and was again impressed with his athleticism. The guy just never caught the break he really needed. R.I.P. big guy. You will never be forgotten .

    OT: Cincy dropping men's soccer

Upstater is a college academic and a pretty savvy guy who has posted here for years. I will take his comments most seriously. My gut tells me we are in for some gut wrenching times as far as the University is concerned and UConn athletics, in particular.

Ben Gordon opens up about his struggles with mental health to try to help others

Great news on Ben. As a fellow alum, New Yorker, and someone who has worked in the mental health/criminal justice field, I know how tough it is for a person like Ben to acknowledge the need for outside help. He now embraces it and wants to help others. Stay strong, Ben.

2020 Recruiting: Andre Jackson Top 5

Boeheim and MacNamara showed up from Syracuse and Fran McCaffrey, Iowa coach and former Siena coach was there. UConn and UCLA sent staff. And now the kid is also talking Maryland, probably because he had a lot of contact with Huerter during the summer.

    2020 Recruiting: Andre Jackson

Live in the Albany area and have seen this kid play and listened to him speak. Gonna be tough to beat out Syracuse. Elite 8 Thread

UConn WBB wins, UNC goes down, Calipari sucks wind and now K suffers the ignominy of not getting to the final four with his pros. I hope he closes the locker room door on his nose. He is a f’en phony. Never had a problem with Izzo, and most guys stay four, even five years.

What an Accomplishment by this Group

Played UConn wbb which Geno implored them to do in last quarter of UCLA game. Continued today and Lou was not to be denied. Not going to be her farewell game. Fantastic crowd and our guys responded. Lou was great and went all around floor thanking Husky Nation after the game. So proud to be part...

UConn vs UCLA post game thread

Absolutely agree. Can’t understand those who maintain she appears the same as before her injury. She seems unable to really jump or drive to the hoop. Her pull-up jumper, usually so reliable, is gone for now. It’s possible that both her back and ankle are limiting her. All said, her defense was...

    Aubrey Griffin Scouting Report

Old dude’s analysis is spot on. My only add would be that I saw only one three point make, allowing for I missed the first quarter. Not sure this is a part of her game. Geno is back from Croatia and was at the game w/ his wife. Spotted him as he was leaving. Told me he returned in order to...

    OT: Peter Tork...Former Monkee RIP.

    Akinjo is good.

FWIW...Akinjo is putting on a pretty good show tonite. Minute and thirty to go, Hoyas lead Illini by one, 81-80. Akinjo has played point entire game, has 16 points, six for six from the line. Plays with a lot of confidence and does not look lime a freshman.

That first half play calling was atrocious

Did feel like Diaco was back in charge. Tough to watch. Pass defense on UMass TDs was abysmal. Watching on TV, I could see what defense was giving them. Everything. Terrible. Secret Scrimmage v Harvard

Story from the sixties....In 1964 UConn with Toby, Bialoksunia, Penders, et al held a closed scrimmage with the Jimmy Walker led PC team. Big deal at the time. Anyway I showed up to hang around and try to get in to no avail. On the other hand, one assistant football coach named Lou Holtz was...
