Ok Edey that's pretty funny.
This is a great pick up. Solid numbers in a very tough conference so brings lots of experience. WElcome to the pound!
Side note: I would love to see Purdue on the schedule more. Both football and basketball.
You probably know way more than me haha. All I know is UND Hockey fans are getting real tired of their coach not getting a NC. Maybe we could scoop him up if we lose Cav.
Makes sense. I'm not totally unsold on Cav. He's brought this team to a much better position than it was when he was hired. I hope he can have next year's squad bounce back from whatever this last season was.
What about an assistant from UND? I doing my PhD at North Dakota, and they're OBSESSED with hockey out here. And they're cosidered one of the best programs in the country.
I get that Cav has done some good things and some mediocre things. But who would we hire that's going to make this program any better than it is at this point? Would they want to come here at all? Genuine question, not trying to be a jerk.
For sure. The run game back then was much more prevelant to the game plan than it is in college today. From quick look it looks like the average for passing yards across FBS was roughly 250-260 yards/game. So Orlovsky still is the best QB we've had, but, as you said, he'd be very middle of the...
Both Clingan and Edey haven't really encountered someone the same height as them. It's going to be a great match up to watch. I'm interested to see what happens with Purdue's guards if Clingan can box out Edey consistently.
Tbf out of those teams UCF probably has the most potential because they are willing to spend the big bucks their programs to make it successful. No one saw them hiring Malzahn after he got fired from Auburn. Couple more years in the Big 12 and I think UCF is one of the best teams in that conference.
I mean I'm as disappointed as anyone here, but I doubt there was much available out there and this at least keeps things some what consistent on offense. This close to spring practice I doubt bringing in an OC to completely overhaul the offense at this point in time was probably unrealistic. I...
Congrats to Nick. I’m not going to poop on him right now.
We should look into coaches from FCS like South Dakota State, North Dakota State or Montana. I watched them play against North Dakota (school I’m attending) and they put up points
I think that's a nice landing place for him. Houston surprised everyone last year with how good Stroud and the offense clicked and won a game in the playoffs. That probably a lot of playing time on the defense for Foly to step into.
That model works at literally every other level including the NFL. FBS is the only one that doesn’t guarantee all conference champs a bid to the playoffs. Get rid of the bowls and just go to 16 or 24 like FCS
At this point, it's going to be a pretty normal thing. We better get used to it. Unless the NCAA regulates the NIL money, more kids are going to play their 4 games to get some tape, then sit out for the rest of the season.
As much money for the school as possible. Yeah there's NIL right now, but no one in the the Olympic or non-revenue sports are getting any of that money. I feel like they're getting screwed at the big schools like that just as much as schools that are getting poached because of NIL money.
I was upset he left. But I really don't blame him with the way season turned out last year. I hope he has a lot of success in ETSU. I'll still root for him from afar. Once a husky always a husky.
