Name recognition is one of the most valuable assets you can have. If the Big East grabbed gonzaga and changed its name to the Big America Conference it would lose prestige.

The reason the Big East succeeded where as the AAC failed though is the power of names. Its why McDonald's will always be more successful than Wendy's despite having an inferior burger.

I can see a chiropracter saying nonsense like that. That is a tough field to evaluate in terms of efficacy. Chiropractic care is beneficial and there are a number quality care providers, but that field is plagued with snake oil salesmen and frauds.
