Really? the appeal of basketball is that depending on the game, players tend to rise or fall to the level of competition. the elite 8 game is unpredictable, oh ye of little faith.
I remember Jill Gelfenbien in the early 90’s- she was the goalie on the womens’ soccer team and tried out for basketball and made it. One time she must have had brain freeze and she dropkicked the basketball almost out of the gym.
I remember back aways when tickets were hard to come by and the XL center sold out routinely, some incredible games at the XL with deafening noise and atmosphere! 16,000 plus rocking the arena!

There are so many more good programs out there, and that’s going to continue. The days of UCONN domination and “pretty” basketball are gone, and that’s good for the game. I’ve been a fan since 1990, and I’m deeply grateful for the ride.
You nailed it! I completely agree. I enjoyed the game and was delighted by the win. All those who want the comfort of a 30 point win of pretty basketball- those days are gone.
There are so many more good players spread out around the country and better coaches.
