A game day, really fun SunCast for you! First, we chat with WNBA and Connecticut Sun legend Rebecca Lobo on the WNBA, the Sun, her time in CT & perhaps the most bizarre bobble head ever. Then Layshia Clarendon talks about Saturday's win, blending in, & revenge games.
Enjoy!

I'm biased too. Listen to my interview with Curt here;
SunCast: The Official Podcast of the Connecticut Sun - Connecticut Sun
Totally professional, explains everything, talks about how much he enjoyed coaching Chiney.
Monday and Tuesday, Mohegan Sun Arena! Come see for yourself!
NY, Dallas, Atlanta and CT all in one place, two games per night.
2019 Preseason Tournament - Connecticut Sun
Funny, back when their were people were saying Sue and Diana should be giving up their USA basketball spots, I asked her about it and got almost the exact same answer.
Hi Everyone,
We are back with another year of SunCasts.
Coach/GM Curt Miller talked about Chiney and the trade (interesting and positive!) and how it impacts camp, plus what he needs to see and from whom right out of the gate at camp.
Talked with Jasmine Thomas about her Championship and...
Five pages and no one mentioned Matthew Mitchell? Has Kentucky successful again, from Pat's coaching tree (grad assistant), can recruit SEC areas.ops
Oops, Gamecockfan swept in while I was reading.
Wasn't especially meant to be a swipe at UConn, actually more of a criticism of the print media. I'd say that they no longer see a cost-benefit of the quality writers. No offense to Bonjour or Kelly, but they can't hold the old writers' keyboard. They couldn't possibly, as they just don't...
Regarding locker room access, it depends, but in general I would agree the pros would give better access. However, I know at the tournaments, the locker rooms are opened post game. Honestly I';m not sure what other schools do. My statement was more just showing the way the pros handle it...
Really unfortunate, some great UConn coverage has gone by the wayside. Veteran writers with experience covering the sport and the team brought so much to the table.
Carl Adamec is there, and I think Rich Zalumsky covers some games.
Rich Elliott, John Altavilla, Jim Fuller all gone, replaced...
I thought both Sun players did well. Tuck seems to excel in international play, and I thought Clarendon pushed the pace and upped the intensity considerably when she was out there.
In this latest edition of SunCast, the last of the weekly series for this year, Connecticut Sun General Manager and Head Coach Curt Miller takes a look back at the 2018 season, discussing the ups and downs with host David Siegel. The Sun established new offensive records on their way to a second...
First, that's me. I'm the host. Thank you for listening!
Those were players that won't be in at the start of camp due to WNBA playoff games. The locks I mention (Bird, Taurasi, EDD, Griner) are still playing in the semi-finals and may advance to the finals.
Fowles, Charles, Moore, etc...
In the latest episode of SunCast, USA Basketball Women’s National Team coach Dawn Staley talks with David Siegel about the Sun players who are candidates to make the team (Chiney, Jasmine Thomas, Clarendon, and Tuck) and what each brings to the mix.
We also discuss how you plan with 10 of your...
I can't read this stuff anymore.
Read the Australian article I posted. When in China, the play was too rough, the food and conditions were bad, etc etc. She complained just as much about playing there as here. See a pattern?
Liz seems more interested in playing for money and no other...
Would be nice if we got a big turnout.
It's an important game for both teams, and Whalen's last game in Connecticut (most likely).
Come acknowledge one of the WNBA's best ever, and a Connecticut Sun legend.
I expect a tribute video / shout out from the Sun. Probably a bigger deal next year...
This was so enjoyable to do!
Holly is great, and in 15 minutes we talked about her schedule, treatments, life philosophy, work and relationship with her partners (Ruocco/Lobo/Robinson), her memories of Margo (Holly used to cover the Utah Starrz) and more.
I really recommend if you are free...
If they were not to make the playoffs, then clearly the current make up isn't good enough and why would you want to give up a lottery first round pick in a loaded draft? Doesn't make sense
In this week’s episode of SunCast, David Siegel talks to Rachel Banham about her evolving role on the team, and also about her special connection to the law enforcement community. Siegel also speaks with Rebecca Lobo about what has been one of the most competitive seasons in WNBA history, and...
Clarendon was an all-star last year. Renee beat her out in Atlanta, and she didn't seem to fit into the rotation with Hayes and Sykes there, plus Angel.
It was time for Bentley to move on; I still remember Bone and Bentley sitting on the bench with towels over their heads after they got...
Not really, it wasn't a good matchup for her. NY plays centers and guards. They have one wing on the roster, Allen, and she played 1.8 seconds, literally.
Some games Tuck will come in and Bri Jones will sit. This game Jones was the post sub and did well.
Down the stretch though, it was the...
In this latest edition of SunCast, host David Siegel catches up with Jasmine Thomas. In the first part, Jasmine talks abut her commitment to the Children’s Defense Fund. In part two, earlier this season, Jasmine also spoke with David about her wide variety of interests, including her love of...
