I wonder what takes Beers so long...UConn seems like a perfect fit for her: A championship contender (top 4 without her and top 2 with her), Needs a center (While Yana most probably will be great, she never played a College game), Best preparation for the WNBA (as proven time and time again with...
IMO it makes a perfect sense for Iriafen to choose USC or UCLA as both will be (especially with her) a major contender for a championship next season. At UConn she'll have an even better chance for a championship. I don't see both her and Beers coming to UConn so i hope we get one of them.
If we are in a position to get one of them (Iriafen or Beers), i would go with Beers as i think that a 5 is a bigger need for UConn than a 4. I don't see both coming to UConn.
Part of the greatness of Geno is that he comes up with a game plan that fits the personal on the team and not necessarily have the players adjust to a certain style and only one. When UConn had 3 post players (Dolson, Stewie and Stokes), Geno found the way to play all 3 at the same time. When...
Exactly! i would prefer to have an experienced PG to share time with KK then have Paige playing PG when KK is on the bench (no reason why KK should be playing 40 min. a game next season). I have no doubt that KK will be a great PG for UConn the next 3 years.
A good move for Amari who would have not seen more minutes this season then the previous years. Many of the Big East teams could use a 6-6 center...St. John's?
For UConn it opens the door to get 1 of 2 needs which it seems UConn have: an experienced PG to share time with KK (Chen?), or an...
By all accounts and videos, she's got a high basketball iq and versatility to her game so she'll fit perfectly to what Geno wants and having such a humble leader who looks for the betterment of others in Paige will do wonders for her transition to the college game.. I expect 25 min. per game and...
Was it an illegal screen by AE? yes, it was (she was moving). at the same time you can't call this as a foul if you didn't call similar instances on Iowa the whole game and to do it, stinks and makes you think that the NCAA who wants/need Clark to be in the Final (rating), expressed it to the...
I don't know about the best game ever but for sure the most amazing job Geno did so far. This team (after the injuries) is too small, too inexperienced, limited number of players, etc. and somehow, he was able to get this team to the final 4. It clearly helps to have a generational player and a...
The best would have been Aubrey but...i guess Nika will start on her and hopefully she does not foul out in a short time...you don't want Paige guarding her unless it's the last 5 min. of the game...
That should be an interesting option (if Karlen and UConn got mutual interest). She is experienced, strong, good rebounder and got a nice mid distance shot.
Paige! she comes to play every game with every opponent trying to stop her and she still scores over 20 points without being a ball hog. She was visibly tired in the 4th quarter but still led the team to this victory.
As others said, an ugly game but somehow we hanged on to win...it looked really bad at times and the players were clearly tired.
Did it ever happen that the Elite 8 was the 4 number 1 seeds and the 4 number 3 seeds?
It seems the choice between Azzi, Aubrey and Yana wit each choice coming with real good reasons (Azzi-shooting, Aubrey-Defense and Yana - size). I'll go with Aubrey because if we win against Duke, i don't see anyone on the current active roster that could handle Juju. Aubre should have been able...
Few Thoughts:
*what a game. SY was really really good. and Fair is an amazing player!
*We have Paige, and they didn't. She put the team on her back on both offense and defense. The Best Player in WBB.
*Ash: unreal performance considering that she is a freshman. Without her showing up big time...
it is a clear choice between schools close to home or a school which is away from home. as someone who is not objective, i think that Sarah's. best choice would be UConn as while she'll most probably will get to the WNBA regardless of who she chooses, she'll be the best prepared if she comes to...
Few Thoughts:
*Wow
*I just love this team! it is by far not one of the more talented teams in UConn's history, but their spirit, love for one another and fight are remarkable!
*Paige: had to do so much more in this tournament with AE out and delivered time and time again at an All-World level...
