How UConn saved nearly $3 million on postseason bonuses for Dan Hurley, Geno Auriemma and staffs (Mike Anthony)

This likely wouldn't be a year to take out a policy on the men, especially if AK leaves. Don't know if it's as smart a decision to take one out on just the women, but IMO, this is the year Geno gets 12 (provided he has at least 9 functional players, lol)

How UConn saved nearly $3 million on postseason bonuses for Dan Hurley, Geno Auriemma and staffs (Mike Anthony)

Hartford knew. That's why DB had to go to the Carolinas to get the policy. Those underwriters were like, "Nah, UNC or Duke gonna take this year."

    OT: Best Pizza in CT

Always thought this thread more or less handled wood-fired Neapolitan as a separate thing. It's pretty much the one major pizza style where CT does not dominate. That said, looks fantastic.

    One More Time

That was hysterical even without the captioning. Nothing one can build a career on, but +10 for the audacity to waste Simon's time.

    Non-Key Tweets

I don't know why TAMU would consider leaving the SEC for the B1G, but they haven't won a conference championship since 1998, and have only 3 NY6 bowl appearances in the past 25 years, so it's not like they're thriving.

Given his faith and daily prayer, I am waiting for the inevitable DH meme from an "In the Huddle" segment to the effect of, "Christ is getting whatever he wants. We've got to shut him down."

    Starting Quarterback

It may be bad for Roberson, but let's not forget that Fagnano "won the job" last year. If he starts the first game and UConn looks as pathetic as it did in Fagnano's last start, "Mora must go" chants will be heard.

    Mayonnaise on French Fries??

Nah. I watch the World Cup, but not much else soccer-wise. Don't follow any teams Actually, when I lived over there, I enjoyed the rugby matches on TV over soccer. Soccer is kinda like hockey for me. When it's good it's a great watch, when it's bad, it's torture. But I was fully into Britpop...

    Mayonnaise on French Fries??

Many of us graduated from UConn in the late 70s, when soccer was the only sport where we could win championships. I doubt that fact alone led to all of us wanting aioli on fries or buying Kraftwerk cassettes, but by your tone, it would seem to me that at least one of us seduced your favorite...

    What are you binge watching?

I binged "Baby Reindeer" (Netflix) over the past couple of days, without having read anything about it, other than it was promoted as a "dark comedy". "Dark" doesn't even begin to describe it. I imagine it's going to win a bunch of awards for being one of the most disturbing series to ever...

Pot munchies? I haven't looked at a fish stick box in 50 years or so, but I'd think I can sautee a couple of trout fillets in a wine/butter/shallot sauce faster than a frozen fish stick cooks.

One has to like sweet pickles to agree with you. I love all sorts of pickles, but sweet and bread & b, utter pickles do not pass these lips. This is why, while I love the concept of a Chicago dog and even bought sport peppers to make them at home, I cannot have an authentic one as the...
