465-4292
Haven't had this number in over 20 years, though. The area code has changed since then and now it's a business number.
Now ask me what my phone number was when I lived in East Hartford and no... can't tell ya. I've forgotten my Florida and Connecticut numbers. I remember central...
Ugh. I had someone come by last summer trying to sell me Dish. I asked him about SNY. After being on hold for 15 minutes, corporate finally confirmed what I already knew. Um, thanks but no thanks.
When I lived in Alabama, I had one. It was a Saturn V plate that read GOHUSKZ. Now that I'm in Iowa, I don't have one. 1, Car registration is more expensive here and 2, No matter what I get, I'm stuck with a freaking ugly silo in it and I just can't will myself to pay more for the same plate...
I mixed us up with current conference foes, former conference foes, schools not too far from me so I can actually attend games, and other schools I just plain hate. I called it The Big Mess. Needless to say, it's not a popular combination.
I'm ARGH!!!!
That is all. I live 2.5 freaking hours from Des Moines and even if I could get my hands on tickets, I couldn't make it to the game. I think.
Pfft.
That's in my queue! No joke! <3 I loved The Sound and The Fury. I always think of A Rose For Emily every time I see the video for Bad Romance. ~shifty eyes~
I like to almost everything. Hubby and I have around 1200 books.
I'm currently doing a 52 in 52 challenge. 90% must be new reads. 10% can be re-reads but not within the last five years. I'm currently reading White Oleander and The Man in the High Castle. I've also read Little Men, The Good...
Ugh. While I like the idea of it potentially helping us get into the conference, I don't want him at Michigan any more than I want him at UConn. ~gag, vomit~
That's not fair. We also have...
Never mind. You're right. ;) I-80 is a little over 300 miles from Council Bluffs to Davenport. Even the drive from Wilton to Iowa City is painful and I did it weekly for four years. :-/
Iowa State won't have a lot of ice and snow. We get bone-chilling cold but not a whole lot of snow out here. Too cold for it. :-/ I had to laugh because I was in CT about 18 months ago and everyone was panicked about it going under 10 degrees. Yet no one seems to notice 6-10" of snow. Then...
Mini Chick loves Trouble. She has a Scooby Doo version. When she first got it, she had trouble saying "Scooby" so it was "Goofy Doo."
We didn't play a lot of board games when I was growing up. Which is odd because I'm such a gamer now. I love Trivial Pursuit, Logo, Scene It, Monopoly, Life...
Yeah, probably not. The 2.5 seconds between NCAA tournament (with the Final Four being a convention of sorts) and the time recruiting opens up again... this is pretty much their summer break. LOL.
Thanks! Hubby LOVED it. Of course, I always think of you when I see the pick of mini chick that you edited. I had people spazzing about it because they thought she was really wearing makeup and a tattoo. <3
Nice! I've only been to three games since I graduated nearly 10 years ago. :(
The biggest one was the Florida State game in 2010 for our 89th consecutive win. OSB (who disappeared a few years ago) and a friend of his went with me, my husband, and a not-quite-five-month-old Mini Chick. Lots...
January 21, 2008. Down by 11 points to NC in the first half. Came back and won by 9. So not the 40-point swing I was thinking of but a good 20-point one.
Er... LSU? NC? One of those teams, I think, a number of years ago. We were down by a LOT. I think we ended up with a 40-point swing to win the game.
Don't quote me on it. I'm going to see if I can figure out which game it was or if I'm just imagining it.
Fine on DirecTV in Iowa. Sorry you experienced that. I've had my own issues. (When I lived in Alabama, my internet signal kept dropping and it was impossible to stream games. To the point where I nearly stopped subscribing.)
Online scalpers? I rarely go to games when I'm in CT because usually I find that I have to order from various sites and they really jack up the prices. I think one of the last times I wasn't up in the sky (which is bad for me as I get really dizzy), we paid about $70 per ticket. But because...
