Any chance you can supply a link to this interview? I'd like to read/hear Kyla talk about breaking into the starting lineup and what (other than the depth chart working in her favor) that required from her.
I think it's both. I had SNY through Cox, so I must be in SNY's coverage area. And although YouTube TV gets ESPN and ESPN 2, it doesn't seem to have ESPN 3. I'm supposed to have some streaming content through my new Cox deal, but I have to figure out what it includes. I'm guessing ESPN 3 is not...
I'm wondering too. Trying to get used to being cable-less. Can't get SNY on YouTube TV (which is what I switched to), and ESPN3 is "blocked out in your area". I am not sure if it's really blocked out or if it's just that my Cox package no longer allows me access to it. I don't see anything else...
Is "up there" here on the boards or on SNY? I've just cut the cord on cable, and I suspect I won't be able to get SNY via streaming. If there's a way I can watch The Geno Auriemma Show and All Access online, that would be great.
I've never gotten the impression that Geno could give two hoots and a holler about this particular issue. UConn is really being accused of this kind of negative recruiting? And Geno, et al, have supposedly pointed to the Vols as being particularly representative of the supposed problem? I think...
Is Ashja injured? She hasn't played at all in the finals, and I don't think I saw her in the box scores in the semi-finals either, though I admit to not checking out every game. I know her numbers have been dwindling since the season began, but I still find it odd that such a skilled vet isn't...
I can only speak to the one tweet I saw, but I didn't think it was worthy of a suspension. My worry now is who they will get to replace him. The last time they took John off the beat, they replaced him with a guy who very obviously didn't give two cents about women's basketball. The coverage...
I'm not advocating for this at all. I repeat, I am simply wondering if it's advisable to prepare for the eventuality that they may be needed, or is Geno just that confident that his starters are savvy enough by now not to get into foul trouble (even if that's the opposing team's strategy) and...
I think you misunderstood me. I hardly expect Lawlor or Pulido to come in and sink a three for a win. I also didn't say "in the event that four of our players foul out." The question popped into my head when Banks had to sit out the last game with her ankle. Megan and (Eric?) were commenting...
I'm thinking that the strategy in the tournament will almost certainly be, at least in part, to try to get the starters in foul trouble. The better teams may have (actually, have already had) some success in that. With the bench situation being what it is, I've been wondering about giving the...
Just saw this:
John Altavilla @jaltavilla
Team was not aware that Saniya chong was ill and couldnt play according to bria hartley #UCOonnwomen
John Altavilla @jaltavilla
Geno said Chong gave him no indication before the game that she was not feeling well #uconnwomen
John Altavilla...
Shoot (that's the word that Stef said, right? ;)), I guess I missed this. I remember the bench laughing when Stewie missed the alley oop, but I don't remember this. Now I wish I hadn't erased the game already!
Does anyone know Barbara Turner is now and why she wasn't at the game? I tried Googling her, but the most recent articles were all about three years old. I'm assuming Willnett couldn't be there because Temple was playing. I hope John A. has a "catching up with (all) the girls" article in the...
Thanks for the link to Mel Greenberg's blog. I remember watching Clockgate and being furious at the decision. I've never heard anything about whether there were repercussions for the officials. The Tuesday, September 19 blog entry reveals that Bonita Spence tried to alert the other two officials...
As I recall, a physical problem developed. Maybe with her knee?
Yes, knee and back: http://blog.ctnews.com/elliott/2012/11/08/injuries-likely-to-rob-walk-on-pope-chance-to-play-for-huskies/
Actually, in Sum It Up, she did say that that's what she should have done. It's too bad that she (and, to be fair, Geno) didn't realize that at the time. Though I hold her more accountable than him, since she's the one who cancelled the game and made the accusations.
(And TonyC, I was on the...
I saw the second show (a lot of practice footage, which I really appreciated), but missed the first. The second repeated at least twice. Did the first, which apparently had Megan, Kara, and John A., repeat at all? Will it repeat again, if so?
I thought this was an interesting article and one others here might enjoy as well. It profiles Skyler Diggins both on and off the court and discusses the attention she's bringing to the game. As an example of the latter, it says she had 5,000 Twitter followers before the NCAA tournament last...

Anytime you introduce God into something it is a relgious thing.
I think this is a case of someone not being able to see the forest for the trees. It requires taking a few steps back to see things from a broader perspective, but sometimes people feel that's not necessary...
