Cyclone Fanatic site is incredibly sensitive

Nailed it. There is literally nothing better than catching a catfish with your forearm and then knocking back a honey bun. Yeeeee-Haw!

Cyclone Fanatic site is incredibly sensitive

Pretty cocky for a bunch of mid major fans. I doubt your university equals at Toledo would be so over the top.

The Big Five Conferences are going to break away

As a life long fan and alumni of one of the P5 teams, I welcome breaking off to create a completely different division with open arms. The financial split between the haves and the have nots has grown to such proportions that I don't feel there is any way for the two different sects of FBS...

    ESPN matches the deal

UConn will be making 1.8 million per year. Schools in the B10, SEC, B12, P12 are making more than the entire conference on their own. It's going to be impossible to keep up in paying coaches, facilities, recruiting budgets, and exposure.

    ACC

This is cute. Very August/October of 2011, but cute none the less. You keep throwing at the wall, maybe something will stick.

    To Iowa State Fans

There is the homerism bias that comes with White, then there is the love that goes towards for him for how he has been as a person at ISU which elevates the talk on him a bit. Either way, he is the heart and soul of the team that brought the program back and ISU fans love him for it. It's hard...

    Who Guards Royce White?

His turnovers are due to getting a little too fancy with the ball. Due to the ridiculous size of his hands, he can whip the ball like a softball and no one on the court ever sees it coming. Half the time it results in a turnover, half the time it results in an incredible pass. The thing about...

    ACC

Carl, how many times did you have to repeat the idea that the NBE is going to flourish into the mirror before you started to actually believe it.

Brett McMurphy says expansion stops once UofL to the Big 12 and the Big East takes the crumbs

From what I've read and heard, with connecting the dots I highly doubt Louisville ends up in the B12. The B12 seems to have much bigger fish on it's radar and Louisville just doesn't project to add enough value to expand with.

WVU officially gone today; Pitt Cuse gone in 2013 (not 2012)

The second WVa stated their plan was to be a member of the B12 by 2012, it was no longer a question of when they would be gone from the BE, it was merely the amount of money that would be paid to do so. It was naive to believe anything else.

WVU officially gone today; Pitt Cuse gone in 2013 (not 2012)

Aren't you the one that tried to convince me that there was no possible way that WVa was leaving for the B12 in 2012 and my ideals on law were nothing but buzzwords and garbage? Thank god it isn't 'triallawyer'.

WVU officially gone today; Pitt Cuse gone in 2013 (not 2012)

$2.5 million already paid, $5 million loaned by B12 institutions, $5 million gifted by B12 institutions, remaining $7.5 million will be money withheld from WVa from the BE. In all honesty, recouping $15 million in the B12 is not going to be that big of a deal.

FSU and Clemson to Big XII?

Kansas City actually. If you honestly think the P12 has any pull beyond the Rockies, you have no clue on the situation or lack there of. Larry Scott, are you serious? Hah.

    Waiver Request Denied by NCAA

Yes, the NCAA changed the rules for 360 D1 basketball teams just to crucify UConn. As a member of the NCAA, UConn did not meet the minimum requirements for participation in post season play, therefore will not be allowed to compete. There are no grounds to sue. In a roundabout way, the idea of...

FSU and Clemson to Big XII?

Pick this all up from the East Coast? From someone that actually follows the B12 and lives in B12 territory, the league itself is actually quite fine. It's quieter and more peaceful than it has been in the last 10 years. As much as people want to see the B12 explode, it's not going to. The...

WVU BE settlement rumors starting to surface....

Would you prefer history or current reality? The fact of the matter is, WVa is going to pay their fine and be on their way. They don't want to be in the BE, the BE doesn't want a lame duck (that will more than likely win their conference again if they were to compete in it) and they really...

WVU BE settlement rumors starting to surface....

There is absolutely zero chance that WVa is playing anywhere but the B12 next year. Holding on to any other ridiculous idea is nothing more than a pipe dream of legitimacy for the BE.

    Big 12 or B1G

One conference of note went to 14, so the rest will clearly follow suit? Not exactly. The ACC made a reactionary move and swallowed up two less than stellar programs which have in turned pissed off current member schools alumni bases (see: FSU). What exactly do the other 3 major conferences have...

    Big 12 or B1G

Actually it's far from self evident and no where near sensical. In your mind conferences will be 14 schools minimum, because that is what you want to happen. The argument about the Cowboys being in the NFC East has nothing to do with the college game nor does TCU at one point being a part of the...

    Big 12 or B1G

Geographically it would make sense. It wouldn't be a hard thing to create in my opinion and it would be a series of games that would interest the college sports fans throughout the East Coast (it might not make the likes of Houston, SMU, Boise, SDSU really care too much, but so be it, minority...

    Big 12 or B1G

I find it to be highly unlikely that a scenario like you've laid out will ever happen with the B12. The general consensus for us living in B12 country is that we really do enjoy the 10 team format and there is no reason to go to 12 unless ND is involved. It's nothing against the schools you've...

Neinas: Wvu's Entrance Contingent On Being Available Next Year

I don't need to insult UConn's future when it's already dead in the water.

Neinas: Wvu's Entrance Contingent On Being Available Next Year

Doing their due diligence through a little bit of paper work isn't going to put the breaks on what the B12, WVa, FOX and ESPN want. Once the wheels are in motion in one of these situations, there is no stopping them, it's going to happen. You can sit there and hold out hope all you want, but...

Neinas: Wvu's Entrance Contingent On Being Available Next Year

You are all reading a whole lot into nothing. If you honestly think WVa is going to be around next year and not playing it's away games in the Midwest, you're naive.

    Ap: Boise State, Uh,ucf,navy,,smu Invitrd

Who's next in line? The University of Phoenix? Is ITT Tech fielding a squad next year? Jesus. Just put a bullet in the damn conference and put it out of it's misery.

Do You Think Wvu Even Takes Their Own Lawsuit Seriously?

Sour grapes? The incite of someone sitting in Connecticut on what is going on in the Midwest rings a little hollow.

    B12 might expand

In regards to B12 expansion if survival is imminent, the only targets seem to be Arkansas (rejected), Pitt (ACC), WVa, Louisville and the number one target being BYU. Not saying UConn isn't a good school, but the state of Connecticut is a long, long ways away from the Great Plains and I don't...

    The Big Least

But they were at the time of admittance. The reason they aren't anymore is because some of their fellow B10 schools (Michigan/Wisconsin) voted them out. The presidents of those two schools have also publicly stated their disapproval of Nebraska joining the conference for that reason alone...

    The Big Least

Seriously? You're in Connecticut. B10 is in the Midwest. Sorry to break it to you guys, but to gain admittance into the B10, your university must be in the AAU. UConn is not in the AAU.

    The Big Least

If that happens I will lose all faith in college football. I grew up with the Big 8. In my opinion teams on the East Coast have no business coming to the middle of the country for conference games.

    Sad sotry from tonight's game..

Cy is a Cardinal because it was originally the Iowa State Cardinals. The team changed names in the early 1900's after a game with Northwestern in which ISU rolled them and a Chicago newspaper put out the headline (not verbatim) "An Iowa State Cyclone Rolled Through Evanston". Cy being a...

    Sad sotry from tonight's game..

Like I said, it's an incorrect bias. A lot of the bias comes from Jersey, which is our equivalent of Nebraska.

    Sad sotry from tonight's game..

It's more biased perception than anything. We look at the East Coast and laugh for a lot of reasons. I'm not saying it's anywhere near correct, but we look at East Coasters as unintelligent, which is Iowa natives just being overly cocky. Iowa is a very liberal state with high level education and...
