    Stats gurus, what is this?

Didn't see it answered above but the green column next to TS% appears to be that player's rank. There are 100 players in the sample. Paige's TS% is second best so she is 99. Katie Dinnebier is best so she is 100.

    Wes Moore on UConn

I think Kim's sales pitch is, "You see those three national championships there? You should ask those young women how much they valued their out-of-conference schedule."

    Wes Moore on UConn

Didn't see this posted. Could be wrong. Wes Moore

    We're number 1!

If UConn goes undefeated I don't believe anyone else can.

Can Paige lead UConn to #12?

Every successful action requires at least two things: 1. A belief you will succeed. 2. The courage to act. Having the best player makes everyone else braver.

    ACC expansion

Lots of water over the dam since the old Big East days. Maybe a lot has been learned and perhaps petulance can be put aside and those involved can act like grown ups. Sounds like a pretty strong alliance to me.

The Athletic: College Football Premier League: 28 teams survive in standalone football product.

Only 20 of the 50 states are represented. I imagine those in the other 30 will find other things to do. Also, no fanbase that was built on the successes of the team (which is all of them) will suffer through season after season of losing records without losing interest and looking elsewhere...

Terrified for sure. There's a tiny possibility we could get left out.

Your question was fine until you added UConn to the "Add" set. Then it just became silly.

Seems like everything points to Az St and Utah being off the board until Wash and Ore left. That's how we were 14. Couple of years ago I bought a car. The brand was my third choice behind a new Rolls Royce and a used Rolls Royce. Turned out nobody would sell me a Rolls for the money I had...

I'll tell you one thing that helps. Having a coach with the stones to call out the B12...even if it was a slip of the tongue.

Much of it stems from a few with an axe to grind, not a general consensus. Some of it saw others slightly cuter than us and were available. Some of it pure prejudice; we're not in a P5 therefore we're not worthy of P5. And a not insignificant part was us bungling things.

At this point, value is a given. There is no need for proof. It is a given, for example, because you have the leader of a major conference stating that football is no longer the only game in town. Basketball demands consideration. OK, who's important there? The schools that are good. How do you...

It's pretty clear we have value ergo the reason is something else.

We were team X+1 in the X team bids long before Yormark did anything.

A couple of days ago I went to the store to get some seltzer. I came home with seltzer and some chocolate chip cookies. Good plan, imperfect execution. So the B12 wants Colorado and UConn. Good plan. Who's easier. Probably UConn. Then we better lock down Colorado first. B12: Hey Colorado...

You've got it sort of right, except in the middle it becomes "Maybe Oregon State, maybe Washington State, but definitely UConn." At the end it is, "Oregon State, Washington State, and Oregon and Washington, and the remainder of the PAC, and UMass, Temple, Buffalo, North and South Dakota (both...

    Possible Big 12 Invite rumors

The older, the more accomplished you are, the more you realize that the "long term" gets longer, not shorter. Immortality is the objective.

I get that suddenly there are a lot of cute chicks at the dance that weren't there before. I get that it would be crazy to ignore cute chicks. What I still think is basketball and north east. That's the stated direction. Yormark may have gotten side tracked for a moment but why would he abandon...

The thing that keeps me optimistic, until it doesn't, is Brett Yormark. He said two things very clearly. Basketball and East Coast/New York. Mountain west football gets neither of those.

Big 12 Pushing For UConn Part Deux!

Thanks. Remains to be seen what happens without K and the substandard seasons that are likely to follow...for a few years anyway. Look what happened to UConn under Ollie.

Big 12 Pushing For UConn Part Deux!

Can somebody please explain to me who the wants Duke and why? UConn is clearly a better add than Duke. I mean no disrespect to Duke. I like and admire them. I'm speaking purely from a business perspective.

Maybe we have 3. The B1G isn't blind. NY-Boston is still wide open and HUGE. And UConn is, realistically, the only game in town.

Big 12 Pushing For UConn Part Deux!

Sounds like you're describing a follower not a leader. An ounce of image is worth a pound of performance guy. Yormack doesn't strike me as a follower. Hurley doesn't strike me as a follower. Mora doesn't strike me as a follower. Calhoun wasn't a follower. Auriemma isn't a follower. We've had...

And our response is, "Have you seen where we live?" It's called the northeast corridor. Pretty swanky, and we're the only game in town. By the time you make up your mind we may have another date. I doubt the entire B12 conference combined has more titles than CT does all by itself. And B12 has Kansas and Baylor who each have multiples.

Anyone else get the sense that the PAC is slow playing media rights negotiations on purpose?

Something on the order of 40+ million people in its immediate sphere of influence with almost no competition. Despite all the "streaming" and other talk of monitizing whatever, physical proximity still counts, and that means geography. If anybody in Storrs ever gets off their ass and figures out...
