All this nonsense about only 30 or 40 teams won't happen, it would end up in the courts. The schools and states left out would keep them in the courts for years.
Clark was a great college player, but to me only 3 players stand out as GOAT.
To me you have to be great at both ends of the floor, and my choices would be Maya, Stewie, and Parker.
In a couple more years add A'ja to that list.
Great player, the last inbounds with 9 seconds should have been inbounded to Paige. In that situation put the ball in your best players hands and let them make a play.
She is a total player, plays both ends well. Should be a great point guard at the next level. Would love to see her in New York...
The Big East got blown up because the Catholic schools were running it.
They weren't willing to accept the fact the non Catholic schools were bringing in the money.
What all the other schools should do is tell the Big and SEC go form your own association, we aren't playing your schools in any sports. Tell them they aren't invited to the NCAA basketball tournament, or any of the other NCAA championships.
Their 34 schools aren't really relevant in anything ...
Teams that win Championships in the WNBA usually have more then one person who can run the offense. Seattle had Bird Loyd and Stewie. The Aces have Gray, Plum, and Parker when healthy.
By the way, Dolson, Stewie, and Tuck could all score on the blocks, and pass, the same with Collier.
Made it easier for KML, Bria, Mo to hit outside shots.
Those teams were balanced.
Have to add Nurse, and Katie Lou.
And those championship teams always had that. 2015 Stewie, Tuck, Stokes, then Collier replaced Stokes as the 3rd interior defender.
It isn' a coincidence that since then Uconn hasn't had multiple great interior defenders, and hasn't won a championship.
Losing Dorka and Lou was bigger then Uconn was prepared for. Both of them played through injuries to keep the team going.
Uconn never really replaced them.
But that would enable everyone to limit their minutes, and be fresh for the playoffs. The Olympics are this year, and Stewie normally plays a lot of minutes, so rest during the season would be good.
A'ja, Stewie, and Griner will start up front, with Gray, and possibly Plum in the backcourt. Thomas will be the first off the bench, along with Collier, and Loyd.
No one deserves a spot on the Olympic team, the spot needs to be earned. The best players should go, for some it will be a once in a lifetime experience.
They shouldn't be deprived of that because DT wants to set a record.
If DT is one of the 12 best and can do more then be a token player OK.
Eventually Congress, and the Supreme Court will get involved. When Congress gets involved, and they will the TV executives, College AD's, and they will have to answer questions. They also will have to open books provide contracts, and many other documents.
The whole cartel will end up coming...
Young people playing year round while their bodies are growing could be a reason for do many injuries. You need time for rest and recuperation, and playing at school then all the AAU schedule puts a strain on the body.
